Gillette Children’s welcomed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention this week as they undertake crucial public health surveillance of cerebral palsy nationwide through the Minnesota Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. This visit underscores the powerful collaboration between the CDC, Gillette Children’s, and the University of Minnesota. The CDC is leveraging five sites – Minnesota, Missouri, Utah, Tennessee, and its own site in Georgia – to spearhead this essential cerebral palsy health surveillance across the country. Gillette’s partnership with the UMN ADDM site reflects our deep commitment to advancing care for children with cerebral palsy. Our Cerebral Palsy Institute is one of the largest centers in the world, providing care to more than 4,000 patients with cerebral palsy annually. We are honored to contribute our voice and expertise to this vital national effort.
