Pursuing peace through nature, arts, justice, community, faith, and Design for Freedom.

About us

Grace Farms Foundation’s interdisciplinary humanitarian mission is to pursue peace through nature, arts, justice, community, faith, and Design for Freedom, a new movement to eliminate forced labor from the building materials supply chain. The Foundation’s work is carried out at Grace Farms. The open, porous architecture of the internationally acclaimed River building at Grace Farms, designed by SANAA, is embedded into 80 acres of natural landscape. The building, designed to break down barriers between people and sectors, invites all to pause and reflect, while also encouraging engagement with our initiatives, creating new outcomes. The result is a hopeful, yet active, environment where peace take shape. Grace Farms is accessible and free to the public six days a week. Through on-site programming, daily experiences, and exhibits, all are invited to observe, experience and support the work of Grace Farms Foundation.

We are thrilled to announce tickets are now available for our 9th anniversary celebration, with a moving and site-responsive program by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, on Monday, October 21, 2024. Uniquely groundbreaking and exhilarating to watch and hear, the London Philharmonic Orchestra has been celebrated as one of the world's great orchestras since Sir Thomas Beecham founded it in 1932. Our 9th Anniversary promises to be an awe-inspiring evening with views of the picturesque autumnal foliage surrounding the glass-enclosed Sanctuary. A chamber of 29 select musicians from the Orchestra, conducted by LPO 2023/24 Fellow Conductor, Luis Castillo-Briceño, will present a captivating program that illustrates our theme Architecture Moves Us, and illuminates the purpose of our Foundation. Following the performance, we invite you to join us for a celebratory cocktail reception as we toast to nine incredible years of culture, collaboration and new outcomes at Grace Farms. Have ever you stepped foot into a space that leaves you speechless, excited, full of emotion, or in complete amazement? Comfort. Curiosity. Wonder. Contemplation. Architecture leaves an indelible imprint on our lives, becoming part of our story. It shapes and moves us – physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The power of architecture is woven into the fabric of everything we do at Grace Farms. The River building, designed to break down barriers between people and nature, offers visitors the meaningful opportunity to embrace new perspectives as they make their way through each of its glass-enclosed volumes. No two views are the same. It brings people from all walks of life together every single day. A demonstration of how architecture moves us towards creating an active community, locally and globally. It is also an expression of sustainability and the impact of building ethically, underscoring the work of the Design for Freedom by Grace Farms movement which seeks to end modern slavery in the building materials supply chain. This global movement’s mission is to create a more humane built environment and showcase architecture’s capability of moving us towards justice. It is also a demonstration of how architecture moves us towards peace – nestled into the surrounding 80 acres of restored meadows, woodlands, and ponds, it is a place for contemplation, appreciation, and respect for wildlife, the natural world, and our place in it. At the heart of all of this is the extraordinary vision of our CEO and Founder, Sharon Prince – that architecture has the ability to move us towards achieving humanitarian outcomes across sectors. As we prepare to celebrate our 9th Anniversary, we are inviting you to think about how architecture moves you. This meaningful anniversary will see us welcome a 31-musician chamber ensemble of musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by LPO 2023/24 Fellow Conductor Luis Castillo-Briceño. The moving program will incorporate our theme Architecture Moves Us, further illuminating our mission and work. To learn more and purchase a ticket, visit: https://lnkd.in/eSMSPdaJ In the meantime, we invite you to share a time when architecture moved you – tell us about your experience in the comments.
