Celebrating Innovation and Generosity at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 Marketing Day! Our talented student entrepreneurs and vendors came together for Market Day, an incredible event showcasing their creativity and business skills. Marketing Day was more than just an opportunity to sell merchandise; it was a platform for our students to learn, grow, and give back to the community. We are proud to announce that a portion of the profits from today's event will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, from our dedicated students to the enthusiastic attendees. Your contributions make a real difference, and together, we are fostering a culture of innovation, compassion, and social responsibility. Let’s continue to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in our students and support worthy causes along the way. #IGSchools #MarketingDay #StudentEntrepreneurs #SupportStJude #CommunityImpact #InnovationAndGenerosity

  • 🌟 Exciting First Day as an 𝐈𝐆𝐒 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 📚✨ Walking through the brisk winter air to 𝐍𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of nerves and excitement. It was my first day as a Learning Partner, a role that allowed me to dive into stories and learning adventures with the bright, eager students of the Intergenerational Schools. Our day started with the enchanting tale of "The Tale of Despereaux," where each paragraph read was not just about following a mouse's adventures but about connecting, laughing, and learning together. The magic of the words and the warmth of shared laughter made the cold outside disappear. Read more about @𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐥𝐲𝐭𝐥𝐞 adventures as an Intergenerational Schools Learning Partner in our Blog: https://lnkd.in/et6psVd5 At 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬, we're more than just classrooms; we're a community that thrives on connections and the spirit of lifelong learning. Being a Learning Partner means more than just reading books. It’s about exploring new ideas, discussing real-world topics, and witnessing the joy of discovery on each student's face. It’s about the small moments that fill our Fridays with laughter and learning. Join us and experience the joy of becoming a Learning Partner. It’s more than education; it’s good medicine for the soul. https://lnkd.in/ehgxtVTP #IGSchools #Education #LearningPartner #LifelongLearning #CommunityEngagement #IntergenerationalLearning

  • Volunteers Needed. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 are looking for additional Learning Partners! Do you know anyone who can visit our schools for a couple of hours and read with children? Do you know anyone who likes math and wants to be a positive role model? Our learning partners are a key component of our Intergenerational namesake. They can be any caring adult interested in volunteering each week to build relationships and help develop our wonderful students. If we each reach out to one person, we can make profound and meaningful growth in our Intergenerational Community. Any interested parties can contact Evan Wheeler (Volunteer@igschools.org) to explore the possibilities. Feel free to share questions or experiences in the comments.

Did you know that at the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 applying students are now going on Intergenerational Visits with Primary and Developing students? 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 homerooms (k-8) visit senior facilities once a month. It's been a pleasure to experience more developmental-level interplay for all involved! The applying students show leadership by helping gather and distribute supplies and facilitating more meaningful conversations between seniors and younger students. Check out this "Look-up, Look-down" game from a recent visit.   We know that relationships are important for true learning, and we treasure our senior partners for their contributions to enriching the lives of our students!
