Last week, our CEO Peter McGuinness sat down with Kevin Frank, MBA, SNS from Detroit Public Schools Community District and Rachel Dreskin from Plant Based Foods Association to discuss the future of food in the K-12 school system. The verdict? Students increasingly care about their ability to make an impact and value their plate to planet connection. We’re glad to strengthen this connection in school lunchrooms by offering delicious plant-based menu items and will continue to do so in school lunch programs across the country. The future of food is meat from plants!

We make meat from plants.
About us
We're transforming the global food system by creating better ways to make meat, dairy and fish without using animals -- delicious, good for people, and good for the planet. Our approach: understand what people love about meat, dairy, and fish, and then explore the plant world for specific ingredients that recreate those experiences. In 2016, we launched the Impossible™ Burger: meat made from plants, for people who love to eat meat. Founded in 2011 by Pat Brown MD, PhD (Stanford Professor Emeritus) and backed by top-tier VCs and visionaries, we’re looking for the very best scientists, engineers, food developers, and business professionals in the world to join our creative, diverse, multi-talented and mission-driven team. We’re here to secure a sustainable future (and have fun while doing it). Come work with us to change the course of history.

ICYMI (it’s not like this news broke the internet or anything), we’re partnering with the man, the myth, the KING OF MEAT himself, Joey Chestnut, to bring you MORE MEAT every Monday. 🍔🍔🍔 But in the meantime, we'll be supporting Joey this Thursday, July 4th to help feed the hungry crowd at Fort Bliss and by making a donation to Operation Homefront in connection with the celebration. ❤️ Glad to be in business, Joey 🤝 #MoreMeatMonday #MeatFromPlants

This year marked our Impossible Pride Employee Resource Group’s Second Annual Plant Your Flag Campaign! 🏳️🌈 Throughout the month, Impossible employees and restaurant partners had the option to plant an Impossible Pride toothpick flag in an Impossible dish — celebrating diversity, inclusion and showing support for the LGBTQIA+ community. At Impossible, we stand by the right of every individual to be themselves and are thankful for our partners like The Ruby Fruit and Hi Tops who are committed to doing the same. Thank you to our Pride ERG co-chairs, Emmet Hunker and Taylor Schriver for bringing this wonderful campaign to life. Happy Pride! 🫶

Friday was our annual Juneteenth Farmers Market, hosted by our Impossible Black Employee Resource Group (IBERG). The market was full of local Black-owned Bay Area businesses with their products on display, delicious food, and of course, a photo booth for attendees to capture memories from the day. Thank you to our IBERG leadership council for holding our biggest farmers market event yet and to the vendors for stopping by! Local to the Oakland area? Check out our vendors to show your support: Brutha’s Honey, Penrose Apothecary, Cocoa Centric, Run the World Clothing, and Pollinate Farm.

We know that meat has problems: for the planet, for animals, and for our health. We’re here to solve them with more meat (from plants). In our latest ad campaign, we brought our meat from plants to life with an Americana feel to challenge the preconceived notions of what makes meat ‘meat’ — showing the world that plants can also make for delicious, nutrient-dense meat. Thank you to Erich and Kallman and Horizon Media for helping us bring our meaty campaign to the table ❤️🍴🥩 Read more on how we’re solving the meat problem with more meat via Ad Age:
