About us
A nonprofit group of clinicians, scientists and engineers dedicated to the scientific development and awareness of neuromodulation. Neuromodulation is a reversible medical therapy that manages symptoms of some chronic pain conditions or neurological disorders by restoring nervous system balance, often using minimally invasive methods. The technique works by eliciting a natural biological response to nerve stimulation, such as through delivering a mild electric pulse from a small pacemaker-like device, or by applying small doses of pharmaceutical agents directly to the site of action. The INS educates and promotes the field through meetings, chapters, web content, and its bi-monthly, peer-reviewed journal Neuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface that is indexed in MEDLINE and focuses entirely on basic and clinical science of neuromodulation.

🎙️ Live Reading Series – Biostatistics Article 5: Prof. Konstantin Slavin reads aloud an article by Alexander Thorpe, Garston Liang, and Quentin F. Gronau which addresses Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves and the Area Under the Curve (AUC) in evaluating predictive models. ROC curves help determine how well a model differentiates between two outcomes, and AUC measures model performance. ✔️ YouTube video: https://lnkd.in/gwwChfJD ✔️ Biostatistics articles on the INS website: https://lnkd.in/gtRmHVHT #biostatistics #statistics #neuromodulation #INS #podcast
