Brown rice vs. white rice? We put our app to the test to figure out which one has a lower blood sugar impact. Did you know? - Brown rice is more nutrient-dense than white rice, offering a variety of B vitamins, vitamin E, iron, and phytochemicals. - White rice undergoes a milling process that removes the bran and germ, which reduces its fiber and nutrient content. - Brown rice generally contains more fiber than white rice, which can aid in digestion and provide other health benefits. - White rice is often enriched with B vitamins and iron to replace some of the nutrients lost during processing. - Both types of rice have different impacts on blood sugar levels, with brown rice having a lower glycemic index compared to white rice. Thank you for sharing Jeffrey Rosenfeld, PhD, MBA! Our mission always comes back to our co-founder, Michael Snyder's, extensive multiomics research. Research continues to show that managing blood sugar is core to the cause, driven by its ability to regulate weight, cholesterol, inflammation, and so much more. Bringing the free January app to users allows us to help more people better manage glucose and build the habits that lead to a longer, healthier life. Great talk by Michael Snyder at the GenomeWeb Precision Medicine meeting. I have thought about getting a CGM for a while, but this really convinced me. If you asked the average person, they would say that a cookie spikes glucose more than a banana. However, this is not always the case. People have radically different glucose responses to food. This work was done using January AI, but there are many other companies in the space. Shout out Eran Elinav who did pioneering work in this field. If everyone wore a continuous glucose monitor for a week, obesity rates would greatly decrease.

What are the healthiest drinks at Starbucks? Our research team used the January app to find out. The images below are glucose predictions from the app - you can see where we compared drinks, swapped alternatives like whole milk vs. almond milk, and found the top three healthiest options to order. Key Takeaways: 1. Opt for low-sugar drinks and consider skipping the whipped cream to reduce calorie intake. 2. Choose plant-based milks like almond, soy, or coconut for a healthier alternative to dairy. 3. Pair your drinks with nutritious food options like rolled & steel cut oatmeal or a turkey bacon and egg white sandwich. 4. Customize your favorite drinks by reducing sugar content, adding extra shots of espresso, or incorporating flavorful spices. 5. Explore refreshing teas and infusions such as Mint Majesty or Peach Tranquility for a lighter, healthier choice. Which popular restaurant should we dive into next?? https://lnkd.in/gjkuJnrs
