It was exciting to be in Las Vegas this week representing Northwell Health at the inaugural HumanX AI conference! I had the pleasure to take part in an insightful panel discussion with incredible tech visionaries Grace Chang (Founder & CEO at Kintsugi), Daniel Nathrath (CEO at Ada Health) and Elliott Green (CEO at Dandelion Health), moderated by Darrell Etherington (Founder at The Angle). We discussed some of the promising capabilities of AI in the #healthcare space and the impacts on access to the right care, at the right time, delivered with #empathy. #HumanX2025 #HumanExperience #PatientExperience (photo credit: Ross Harper🙏 )

✨ Exciting news from Inc. Magazine. Our Founder and CEO Grace Chang has been named to Inc.’s 2025 Female Founders list! 🎉 This annual list recognizes trailblazing women who are driving innovation that’s redefining industries. Grace’s leadership has propelled Kintsugi’s voice biomarker AI to the forefront of mental health technology – transforming the way we detect and support mental health conditions, and breaking down care barriers in the process. Congratulations Grace, and all the incredible Female Founders honored this year! 🚀
I’m beyond grateful to be named to Inc. Magazine’s 2025 Female Founders list—alongside so many women I hugely admire. Building something truly new, especially in healthcare, isn’t easy. But in moments of uncertainty, courage has the opportunity to bloom. It’s what drives innovation forward and pushes us to challenge “the way things have always been” when we know they can be better. For me, this journey started with a few unanswered questions: What if mental health screening could be as seamless and objective as a blood pressure check? How many more individuals could get the support they need rather than slipping through the cracks like an estimated 70% of mental health patients do currently? Today, Kintsugi’s voice biomarker AI is enabling earlier interventions for those who need it most—and we’re only just getting started. To every founder out there challenging the status quo and building the future—keep going. The world needs your vision. 🌻 Congrats! Abby Levy, Tammy Sun, Wardah Inam, Toyin Ajayi, Jennifer Doudna, Maayan Cohen, Kristen Valdes, Kate Ryder, Jennifer Schneider, M.D., M. S., Georgia Gaveras, DO, and April Koh! 🌟 We’ve got exciting news! Kintsugi has been selected for Microsoft’s Pegasus Program. Among 80,000 startups in Microsoft’s global ecosystem, Kintsugi is one of just a few companies selected for the healthcare track, a recognition of our technology’s potential to reshape mental health care delivery. This partnership is a huge milestone for us as we work to scale our AI-powered voice biomarker platform, which enables early detection of depression and anxiety from as little as 20 seconds of speech. Through Pegasus, we’ll collaborate with Microsoft’s healthcare ecosystem to refine our technology, enhance integration with clinical workflows and expand our impact globally. Can AI detect depression from just 25 seconds of speech? Our new research published in The Annals of Family Medicine confirms that Kintsugi’s voice biomarker AI can identify moderate to severe depression with 71% sensitivity – compared to identification rates of just 47.3% in primary care. With depression affecting 21 million Americans each year, yet often going undiagnosed, this breakthrough could help bridge the gap in mental health screening – especially in primary care settings, where routine screening remains rare. AI-powered tools aren’t meant to replace clinical assessments, but they empower clinicians with real-time, objective insights, helping ensure patients get the support they need, when they need it. With AI as the topic du jour at #vive this week, Fast Company’s Victor Dey explores the evolving role of AI in emotional connection. Grateful to contribute my perspective on how voice AI can support mental health in meaningful ways. As we navigate this space, it’s critical to distinguish between AI as a tool for empowerment versus a replacement for human relationships. Excited to see where this conversation leads! #AI #MentalHealth #VoiceTech #FutureOfAI Full article: https://lnkd.in/gpYqTfHz
