Girls Club is thrilled to welcome Lanthy Truong as its first Chief Executive Officer. Lanthy brings a wealth of expertise to the role, and we are confident that her leadership will take our organization to new heights. Her arrival comes at a pivotal moment in the Girls Club’s evolution. MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving recently announced that we are an awardee of the Yield Giving Open Call. With this transformational award and Lanthy’s expertise in building infrastructure and operational capacity, The Lower Eastside Girls Club is now best positioned to support and execute its mission of serving 1000+ youth and community members annually.
Lanthy is a strategist, capacity-builder, and jane-of-all-trades with deep sector knowledge cultivated through her roles in programs, strategic partnerships, IT, operations, human resources, and finance. In recent years, she has successfully helped organizations of all sizes, from <$1M to $500M budgets, develop infrastructure to navigate the complex operational challenges nonprofits face today. Most recently, Lanthy served as VP of Finance and Administration at Matriculate. She holds a BA from the University of Virginia and an MPA from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where she specialized in nonprofit management and finance.
The Lower Eastside Girls Club Board Vice Chair, Kimberly Aguilera, emphasizes, "Lanthy Truong brings an invaluable combination of experience, dedication, and heart to our organization.
