Great example of collaboration and intelligence gathering by our partner organization, Freedom Collaborative, Inc. and also Winrock International and USAID Cambodia Counter Trafficking in Persons!
A recent case highlighted by the Forced Criminality Response Working Group, a cross-sector forum facilitated by Freedom Collaborative with support from USAID Cambodia CTIP and Winrock International, demonstrates the effectiveness of swift multi-stakeholder action in tackling cyberscam activities. It’s increasingly evident that the ever deepening crisis of human trafficking for forced criminality in Southeast Asia cannot be tackled with traditional anti-trafficking methods alone, and various stakeholders are now involved in the response. However, in order to trigger investigations, timely and actionable financial intelligence is required, and this case demonstrates the importance of building trust and fostering collaboration among professionals from various fields in order to respond with the necessary urgency.
