At this year's NC Global Health Conference, "experts explored how NC serves as a microcosm for pressing national and global health challenges." So true, Diana Pressey! More than anything, we walked away from this year's conference even more convinced that North Carolina itself needs a voice at our state's global health table AND that our state is rich with the expertise and experience needed to solve the world's most pressing global health challenges, for people here and everywhere! We look forward to bringing this conversation forward and we hope you will join us! #ncgha #ncglobalhealth #ncglobalhealthconference
Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the North Carolina Global Health Alliance's 2024 Conference, where experts explored how NC serves as a microcosm for pressing national and global health challenges, including rural health disparities, workforce shortages, vaccine equity, and the public health impacts of climate change. A key takeaway: “Local is global and global is local." It’s inspiring to see how strategies from around the world can address urgent issues here at home. As communicators, these insights can help us shape narratives advocating for health equity, workforce safety, and community solutions. Thank you to Secretary Kody Kinsley of the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Liz Mallas Law of Gilead Sciences, Suzanne Maman of UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Lindsey Bickers Bock, MPH of Durham Dept. of Public Health, Mercedes Bravo of Duke Global Health Institute, Peter Cassidy, FACHE of Atrium Health, and many more for the thought-provoking discussions. And a big thank you to NCGHA for hosting!

Looks like the next generation of public health leadership to us! #ncgha #ncglobalhealth #ncglobalhealthconference
This past Tuesday, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the North Carolina Global Health Alliance conference in Raleigh. I learned more about the importance of community health workers in rural areas and multigenerational households and their importance in influencing vaccinations, the nursing shortage in North Carolina, and so much more. I cannot wait to be a part of the next generation of Public Health!

We are deeply committed to building local, long-term relationships across all aspects of our work, including with our accountants! Langdon & Company LLP has been with us since the start and we were so thrilled to have them with us as exhibitors at this year’s North Carolina Global Health Conference. 🙏🏼 May you all be so fortunate as to have partners like Langdon & Co, who show up to be in authentic community with you. #ncgha #ncglobalhealth #ncglobalhealthconference
Two of our team members represented Langdon & Company LLP well at the North Carolina Global Health Alliance's 11th Annual Global Health Conference in Raleigh this week. Our firm serves a large number of healthcare industry clients including those in senior services, home health and hospice, physician and dental practices, and behavioral healthcare. We were a proud sponsor of this event, and I want to give a shout out to Rachel Owens, MHA and Anne Kelley, CPA for exhibiting on behalf of Langdon at the conference. They're pictured at one of the sessions listening to Kody Kinsley, Secretary of the NC DHHS, and Brianna Clarke-Schwelm, MPH (she/her), Executive Director of the Association. The one-day annual conference featured experts discussing global health strategies and their local impact, with panels, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities. We were glad to be a part of it!
