There is more work to do to ensure thriving competition, encourage continued private sector investment, and assure that the UK can meet its Gigabit ambitions by 2030. Our CDO Giles Rowbotham joined a panel at #ConnectedBritain, where he shared the imperatives for regulatory bodies to act on. Read this great summary from TelcoTitans here: https://lnkd.in/ejfXJKz6

ICYMI, our CEO Rajiv Datta summarised his reflections on a busy couple of days at #ConnectedBritain last week in a blog post. Take a look below.
Reflecting on my time at #ConnectedBritain last week, it was great to celebrate the significant progress the industry has made in recent years, and to appreciate and discuss the immense effort still needed to ensure sustainable competition is in place to drive further progress and future innovation. I've gathered my thoughts in a blog post:

Access to quality full fibre broadband and better connectivity is critical to boosting the prospects of disadvantaged young people and stoking economic growth. That’s why we're so pleased to announce our partnership with UK Youth. We are bringing our network to as many as 1,000 youth centres in underserved communities across the country, helping young people thrive in a digital world. Our CEO, Rajiv Datta, discussed this partnership with UK Youth’s CEO, Ndidi Okezie OBE, at Connected Britain last week. Yesterday at Day Two of #ConnectedBritain our General Counsel and CDO Giles Rowbotham spoke at the Regulation panel. We’ve seen significant progress in the full fibre regulatory landscape in the last few years, but this progress is fragile. There is still work to do to ensure the whole of the UK can have the connectivity it needs for a healthy and growing economy, and investment is crucial to completing this and future build cycles. As Giles said: Regulatory stability is key for continued investment. We urge and look forward to working with government and regulators to continue to provide the right conditions for sustainable competition and ongoing investment.
