Supporting social impact CEO's personally and professionally to improve communities we live, work, play, and learn in.
About us
The Nonprofit Executive Alliance is a social impact coalition of CEOs that advance leadership, strengthen local communities, and provide a unified voice for the sector. Our focus is on improving the business of nonprofit work and changing the way the community views the sector. Together we strengthen our sector and make our community a better place to live, work, play and learn. As individual members, we develop vital knowledge and skills to amplify our mission and deepen our impact personally and professionally. Together, we raise public awareness of our collective power, engage stakeholders and strengthen the communities in which we live, work and play. We raise the profile of nonprofits as invaluable partners for the public and private sectors and the solution drivers addressing economic and community challenges.

Congratulations to Nonprofit Executive Alliance member Newton B. Sanon and his team at OIC of South Florida for a successful Middle Class Summit! NEA members were out in full force, in the audience and up on stage. Collaboration at its best! On Day 1 esteemed member Kathleen Cannon from United Way of Broward County moderated a great panel with NEA Executive Director Sandra Veszi Einhorn, CNP as well as Renee Jaffe from the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County and Henri Crockett from the The Crockett Foundation. Attendees also got to hear from our favorite HR expert and NEA Preferred Consultant Ivelices Thomas from HR & Beyond. Together we can achieve bigger and better, more effective and efficient systems of care that eliminate barriers to those who need support and assistance!

After being a Broward based organization for nearly a decade, a year ago this month the Nonprofit Executive Alliance decided to expand its South Florida footprint to support nonprofit CEOs in Miami Dade and Monroe County. This thoughtful process included many stakeholders and over two years of due diligence. A year later, we have blossomed into the largest nonprofit CEO coalition in the state. As a member benefit, every month we do an informal lunch at a local restaurant. It’s the perfect opportunity to break bread, enjoy fellowship and strengthen our community through collaboration. Many thanks to our partner in this effort Fernanda Jorgensen, MPH from PhilanthropyMiami. Here’s a picture from our Miami lunch last week with several of our newest members. We can’t wait to see what the future holds as we continue to grow and support nonprofit CEOs personally and professionally. Many thanks to our members that recognize the importance of working together to create a stronger, more resilient community. Together, we make South Florida a better place to live, work, learn, and play. #community #leadership #nonprofits #partnership #collaboration

Thank you Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn for meeting with members of our Nonprofit Executive Alliance today for a private, closed door meeting. We enjoyed getting to share the great work that our member network is doing for BCPS students. We look forward to continuing to work with you and your team to improve student outcomes in and out of the classroom. #memberbenefits

Thank you to everyone who joined us Thursday for our regional meeting! This quarter our topic was on advocacy. It was a packed house full of nonprofit CEO's ready to be engaged and inspired! Thank you to Florida Nonprofit Alliance for sending Leah McDermott down to give a fantastic presentation and set the tone for the morning. Than you to Isabela Corzo at United Way Miami, Amanda Gorski from The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County, Nicholas Hessing from Children's Services Council of Broward County and Kathleen Cannon from United Way of Broward County for being on our partner panel and sharing with members how they can get more involved in local level coalition building. Special thanks to our member panel, moderated by our Board Chair Cornell Crews Jr Community Reinvestment Alliance of Florida with the incredible stories from Germaine Smith-Baugh, Ed.D. Urban League of Broward County, Felipe Pinzon Hispanic Unity of Florida, Inc. (HUF), Dr. Linda Parker Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. and Irenaida Diaz LCSW, MCAP, ICADC Advocacy Network on Disabilities. The value of this organization is in its ability to support nonprofit leaders personally and professionally. Together we shared, we learned, we laughed, we cried and we were reminded of the importance of leaning into our role as advocates. Leading the charge to speak up for those we serve, those without a voice and those who struggle to find their internal champions. Together we change lives and communities and make all of South Florida a better place to live, work, play and learn! Thank you Mike De Lucca Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Inc. for hosting us!

Thank you to our members who attended today's Nonprofit Executive Alliance regional meeting with funders. Thank you to Fernanda Jorgensen, MPH and our partners at PhilanthropyMiami. Thank you to Patrick Morris for moderating and giving inspirational opening remarks. Thank you Tara Nicole (Gaudin) Williams M.S.,CPC,PHR,SHRM-CP from Broward County Government, Juliette Fabien, MBA, RN from The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County and Lynne Kunins- Founder, CEO from FLIPANY for a great panel. Then some great conversation with Sheri Brown Grosvenor, MSHRD from the Community Foundation of Broward, Loreen Chant from the Health Foundation of South Florida and Shekeria Brown from JPMorgan Chase & Co. moderated by Andrea Iglesias from Urban Health Partnerships. Looking forward to continuing to have dialogue about how we can have a deeper, more meaningful impact across the region. Some of our biggest takeaways from today are at the core of our work to support nonprofit leaders professionally and personally. 1. Nonprofit leaders are some of the best advocates. Leverage your knowledge about your mission and impact to help solve some of our communities toughest issues. 2. Relationship building with funders is like dating (you had to be there!). Find commonalities and bring your best foot forward. 3. Be authentic and honest. Lean in to what you know how to do and don't be afraid to partner or ask for assistance when needed. #communityimpact #leadership #collaboration #notallheroeswearcapes #partnership #nonprofitleadership #nonprofits #socialimpact

Congratulations to all of the members from the Nonprofit Executive Alliance that were nominated as finalists and won awards at the 211 Broward nonprofit Awards last week. We had members that were finalists in every category except one and there were only 2 categories that members did not win. Days like today show the depth and breadth of leadership and diversity of membership. We are proud to be over 140 members strong and the largest coalition of nonprofit CEO's in the region. Together these rockstar leaders cover every aspect of the continuum of care and services across economic, social and health.
