Please give a warm welcome to Allie Gonzales -- today is her official first day as a Senior Account Executive at Notably! 🥳 Allie previously worked at Zilker Media and WE Communications before joining us. She is a born and bred Texan, loves lions 🦁 and sloths 🦥 and has to restrain herself from eating 10 birria tacos in one sitting (can you blame her, though? IYKYK). Welcome to the team, Allie!! 🚀

What the friggin’ heck is up with managers who frown at employees for saying “TGIF”?!!? Like, really?! You’re telling me you’re not excited about getting: - A break from work - To hang out with loved ones - To do the things you truly *enjoy*...? One of the things broken in America is that we have this toxic culture of “living to work” instead of “working to live.” Why?! And the worst part of it: When you honor the fact that folks would rather be doing things for the sheer pleasure of it, *especially* when it’s already Friday… You get: - Better results - Better retention - Less workplace toxicity Now, I want to clarify that we work *hard* and that PR is *not* easy. But we also give the team two extra weeks of PTO and know when to chill and decompress. So if you’re a manager whose ego crumbles when you learn (*GASPS IN UTTER SHOCK*) that team members would rather chill and have fun than work, I recommend: - Walking barefoot on grass - Watching your favorite show on Netflix - Enjoying a cold one (can be non-alcoholic) with friends Or anything else that will restore your humanity… As well as the faith in humanity of the rest of us. Yours Truly, A founder who *loves* it when team members say “TGIF” on a Friday. P.S. Notably is looking for a Senior Public Relations Account Executive! Apply here: https://bit.ly/3yIdtXr

WHAT'S NEXT: Learn how Carly Martinetti, Co-founder of Notably, helps high-growth companies become notable with the power of PR. ⁉️ WHAT IS NOTABLY? Notably is a public relations agency that focuses on brilliant earned media relations, impactful creative, and strategic communications counsel to increase your company’s brand awareness among key stakeholders through customized PR solutions that align with your goals. 💲 ARE YOU FUNDED? No, we're bootstrapped. 🤩 WHO DO YOU SERVE? Our ideal clients, across B2B and B2C brands, are willing to participate in the process, trust our team as communicators, and are eager for success. 🌟 WHAT'S STANDOUT ABOUT NOTABLY? We’ve built and sold companies ourselves, so we know how high the stakes are for startup founders. We put ourselves in the shoes of our clients and always ask, “is the ROI there?” ⏭️ WHAT'S NEXT AT NOTABLY? We currently serve 20+ clients across various industries, from biometrics to cleaning products to telehealth platforms. Since we started in 2020, we have bootstrapped from 0 to seven figures and grown to a talented team of fifteen. Notably is currently in its growth stage, we are always looking to partner with new clients and expand our talented team. This year Notably is launching an accelerator program for pre-seed companies to help founders and leadership develop the necessary materials to raise their next round of funding. This is a 60-day engagement with our team and includes: • Spokesperson media training • Personalized media training • Creative storytelling and brand messaging • Elevator pitch • Go-to-market press release • Website copy review and strategy • CEO/Founder LinkedIn We believe these brand-building strategies will optimize and drive high growth for early-stage companies. 📈 WHAT'S NEXT IN YOUR NICHE? PR is at the precipice of some truly exciting things, but I think they have been tainted with the notion that artificial intelligence can easily take away our jobs. I strongly disagree, and here’s why: AI can lead to defamation. AI can't build relationships. AI can't replace higher human tasks. AI can't handle the unexpected. Don't get me wrong, AI is awesome. But many don’t realize that PR is more than just writing a press release or “spinning a story,” which, sure, AI can help with. The core of what we do includes creativity, the ability to quickly and efficiently synthesize complicated jargon for the average person, emotional intelligence, collaboration, rapport, trust, crisis management, and interview prep. This is a sampling of what PR pros do daily & today’s AI is nowhere near this. ❤️ WHO SHOULD I INTERVIEW NEXT? Mohamed Lazzouni, CTO at Aware, is launching a biometric authentication plug-in for WordPress/Woo. Cathy Tie, CEO of Locke Bio, the “Shopify for the health industry.” ⭐ DO YOU WORK IN E-COMMERCE? Join 10k professionals who read Shopifreaks E-Commerce Newsletter and never miss the most important news that impacts your business.

I’m incredibly humbled that Notably has won a Stevie© Award for “Communications or PR Campaign of the Year - New Product or Service Launch” out of over 12,000 overall submissions. Here’s what the judges had to say: "Your team faced multiple challenges to accomplish the launch—timing shift, cluttered market, pricing—but it appears that you managed to position your client as a thought leader and establish some solid speaking opportunities." "Intentional media campaign with considerably positive results." "Brilliant strategy and turnaround in the face of delayed product launch. Well executed with impressive results." And the deets: We helped a client launch the SKYVIEW 2 Lamp, an innovative wellness lighting product, knocking it out of the park: - 45 placements - Including a featured WIRED article and WSJ piece - All placements totalling 1.45 million estimated views - And reaching an audience of 827 million, with an average domain authority score of 75 Super grateful to everyone at Notably who pulled through to make this magic happen ❤️ P.S. Launching a new product? Slide into my DMs. I can help 😎

Founding partner at SMB Law Group LLP, representing small business buyers, sellers, and operators. Practicing corporate law in CA, NY, and TX.

Carly Martinetti and Notably are the real deal! I saw Notably pop up in my feed randomly here in LinkedIn and checked out their work. I was impressed from the first instant. Never in my wildest dreams would we have expected to have been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg Law, American Express, Yahoo Finance, Law360, and the list goes on. Now with a year of working together behind us, I can confidently say that hiring the Notably team is one of the smartest things we’ve done since launching SMB Law Group LLP (we’ve done a TON of not so smart things…).

The two biggest reasons Big Law is broken: 1. Culture Lawyers are expected to: - Respond 24/7 - Work more than 60 hours a week  - Bill as many six-minute increments as possible Which means they: - Are on the verge of burnout - Have terrible work-life balance - Are incentivized to overcharge clients No wonder studies show that lawyers: - Are more likely to experience depression - Have a significantly higher rate of alcoholism 2. Accessibility Big Law attracts the best lawyers because: - It offers the most competitive salaries - There are better career opportunities Which means that SMBs: - Can’t afford to work with Big Law firms - Even though their legal problems are just as important That’s why I’m super passionate about the PR work we do for SMB Law Group LLP. They're a team of ex-Big Law attorneys who decided enough is enough. (appreciate you: Eric, Kevin, and Eli) Attorneys *shouldn’t* have to choose: - Between their families and work - Between good wages and questionable business practices And SMBs *should* have access to: - Big Law expertise - At reasonable, transparent pricing If you’re an SMB looking for help with: - Mergers and acquisitions - Corporate structuring - General corporate - Fundraising Hit them up. They’ve got all the Big Law know-how – Without the toxic culture and steep pricing. And a healthy dose of heart and humanity. P.S. In case you’re interested— We’ve gotten them in Forbes, Business Insider, Bloomberg Law, and Inc., among other prime publications 😎

Incredibly proud of the Notably team for earning a spot on Qwoted's Top 50 Agencies. As a young company (don't forget we are only three years old!), being listed alongside PR heavyweights like Weber Shandwick and Edelman is a real honor. Plus, this is only one tool in our arsenal of pitching -- you can imagine what's doing behind the scenes as well! 👏
