  • Welcome to the family! We are incredibly excited to announce we have partnered with Sky to takeover management of a impact investment portfolio previously incubated by Sky and formerly known as ‘Sky Ocean Ventures’. 🏆 We’ve long admired this groundbreaking portfolio as an early exemplification of our circularity-driven thesis and have already co-invested in UK champions Greyparrot and Matter. 📍 This is a big step for us to expand our European presence, and we are humbled to be able to support this exceptional cohort of founders and companies already delivering top venture performance. 👀 Across our three fund portfolios, Regeneration now counts nearly forty companies driving meaningful environmental and economic outcomes within consumer industries. Check out the portfolio to see the latest additions!

  • 🔋 Have you ever wondered where your EV battery truly comes from? And if you did, were you able to find out? Thanks to Circulor, the world’s first EV battery passports are here—powering Volvo Cars' all-electric models! 🚘 Circulor, one of our portfolio companies in the Sub-Ocean Fund, is raising the bar again. This time, they’re enabling the battery passport for Volvo Cars’ fully electric ES90. The passport reveals the battery’s entire journey: from the origins of its lithium, cobalt, nickel, and graphite to the percentage of recycled content and its total CO₂ footprint. Volvo Cars previously made history by introducing the first-ever EV battery passport for its all-electric EX90 SUV, which Circulor also made possible! 📈 Volvo's continued rollout of the battery passports sets a new standard for transparency and traceability in the automotive industry, a critical enabler to a circular economy. 💪 We’re thrilled to stand behind Circulor as they enable this critical transformation. • 🇳🇱 This week marks the Dutch Circular Economy Week (Week van de Circulaire Economie) - a nationwide movement dedicated to accelerating the shift toward a fully circular economy by 2050. The Regeneration.VC team will be at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation annual network summit at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, and they look forward to connecting with you. 🔃 Continuing this conversation online, join Jacco Jochemsen from Circle Economy and our Chief Impact Officer and Partner Narina Mnatsakanian as they explore the latest regulatory and circularity trends shaping the investment landscape at Regeneration.VC. We’ll share how our Circular Regenerative Impact and Sustainability Protocol (CRISP) serves as our strategic framework guiding investment decisions. Aligned with the Operating Principles for Impact Management, CRISP offers a structured methodology to assess and enhance sustainability, leveraging global standards like IMP’s Five Dimensions, Planetary Boundaries Science, Circular Transition Indicators, ESRS, and GHG Protocol. By integrating best practices from industry-leading circularity measurement tools, CRISP goes beyond standard ESG and impact reporting to measure greenhouse gas emissions and the complexity of a critical yet often overlooked component - circular systems. This is all to ensure a rigorous, transparent, and data-driven approach tailored to the early-stage nature of our portfolio. Join Us for an Exclusive Webinar with Circle Economy & Regeneration.VC! 📅 Date: April 10, 2025 ⏰ Time: 15:00 - 15:45 CET 📍 Location: Online This webinar is an opportunity to gain actionable insights on how early-stage investors can leverage circular economy principles to identify and support high-impact startups, driving innovation, competitive advantage, and long-term value creation. 🔗 Register now https://lu.ma/2k6d5qd8 and be part of the conversation!

  • 👀Ready to see what circularity looks like in Venture Capital? 📈We’re thrilled to announce two major milestones at Regeneration.VC! 1️⃣ The announcement of our new parallel Art 9 European Fund. We are launching a parallel European Fund, as part of our Fund 2, which will also now classify under Article 9 of the EU SFDR, further anchoring our presence in the European venture ecosystem. This strategic step reinforces our unwavering commitment to supporting early-stage climate tech solutions and innovations across Consumer Value Chains. 2️⃣ The launch of our enhanced impact framework Circular Regenerative Impact and Sustainability Protocol (CRISP) aiming to align with the emerging Global Circularity Protocol (GCP). Building on Narina Mnatsakanian’s recent arrival as Partner & Chief Impact Officer, we’ve collaborated closely with Circle Economy Foundation to develop our new Circular Regenerative Impact and Sustainability Protocol (CRISP). Aligned with the Operating Principles for Impact Management, CRISP offers a structured methodology to assess and enhance sustainability, leveraging global standards like the IMP’s Five Dimensions, Planetary Boundaries Science, Circular Transition Indicators, ESRS, and GHG Protocol. By integrating best practices from industry-leading circularity measurement tools, CRISP goes beyond standard ESG and impact reporting to measure not just greenhouse gas emissions, but also the complexity of a critical yet often overlooked component - circular systems. This is all to ensure a rigorous, transparent, and data-driven approach tailored to the early-stage nature of our portfolio. Why this matters: 🌏 Biomass extraction accounts for more than 90% of biodiversity loss due to land use changes. ❌ Resource extraction projected to rise by 60% by 2060, a linear “take-make-dispose” consumption model is no longer sustainable. 🤝 The new Global Circularity Protocol (GCP), modeled after the success of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), will formalize how businesses set targets, measure, and report on circularity. 🥇By commencing to align our own protocol with GCP, we’re ensuring our portfolio companies lead the way in regenerative, and circular innovation. You can find our CRISP framework now LIVE on our website. (https://lnkd.in/eA_NtBbH) 📆Join us on April 10, 2025, for a joint webinar with Circle Economy, where we’ll share latest trends and market developments on circularity and showcase how CRISP guides our investments and supports the broader industry transition. (Register here: https://lu.ma/2k6d5qd8)

  • Thrilled to share that Epoch Biodesign, a Regeneration.VC portfolio company within our Sub-Ocean Fund, has raised $18.3M in Series A funding to advance their groundbreaking AI-driven biorecycling technology! Founded in 2019 by Jacob Nathan, Epoch is transforming our approach to plastic recycling by developing a library of AI-accelerated enzymes that efficiently break down tough plastics like polyester and nylon. Their approach mimics natural decomposition processes, allowing them to reclaim molecularly identical materials with over 90% efficiency in just hours. The Series A financing was led by Extantia, with participation from Inditex (Mundi Ventures), KOMPAS VC, Lowercarbon Capital, Day One Ventures, Happiness Capital | Certified B Corp, Kibo Invest, and other investors. This raise supports the development of Epoch's first production facility in the U.K. to process 150 tonnes of plastic waste annually. Fast fashion giant Inditex, owner of Zara, also signed a multi-year JDA with Epoch Biodesign. This financing brings Epoch Biodesign’s total capital raised to date to $34M.  Congratulations to Jacob Nathan and the entire team on this milestone! #textilerecycling #AI

  • 💡🌎 A future thriving within planetary boundaries starts in the mind first. It was either GDP growth at all costs or degrowth... We think there is another way. Regeneration. And we're excited because it's getting louder. 😎 🌀 It's the way of #ReGrowth that we introduced during The ReAssembly back in NYC Climate Week and that our dear friend Sindre Østgård just posted about last week. 🌀 It's the way of "#RegenerativeGoodGrowth," as a recent intriguing paper by luminary scientist Johan Rockström and others describes it (in comments). Regenerative (from the Latin word regenerare: to create again). Whatever the name, the core narrative and message are the vision and actualization of an economic system that thrives within planetary boundaries and where all life, including human life, flourishes. 🌎 Brilliant economists like Kate Raworth of #DoughnutEconomics have been telling this story. Regenerative Good Growth creates a shared language and narrative for growth that coexists with the future we all envision. So? Be more creative. Take the way of Regeneration and spread the word. Tell Regenerative Good Growth stories! 🫶
