We’re thrilled to announce that Return has been awarded a grant from the Biden-Harris Administration’s $400 million investment in domestic fertilizer production! This funding will help us expand our Northwood facility in Iowa, enhance our infrastructure, and equip us to manufacture and transport our Good-for-the-Earth Growing Supplies more efficiently. By using food waste to produce our new fertilizer, we will support farmers and their communities and take a big step towards a more sustainable future. At Return, we believe in the power of regeneration. Let's dig in, get rooted, and grow together. #SoilHealth #SustainableAgriculture #RegenerativeFarming #USDA #FoodWaste #SustainableFarming

Are you interested in converting your farmland to a high-yield powerhouse that continues to perform year-over-year? One farmer in South Africa is breathing new life into degraded soils based on Ray Archuleta and Buz Kloot's pioneering regenerative farming principles. Some benefits of regenerative farming include: - Restoring Soil Health: Improved veld management reduces runoff, increases biodiversity, and enhances productivity. - Climate Adaptation: Techniques like carbon sequestration and better water cycles combat climate change impacts. - Sustainable Practices: Boosts yields and long-term resilience. Check out the full article for more insights in Farmers Weekly. #regenerativefarming #regenerativeag #agriculture #sustainablefarming https://lnkd.in/gqcm8KNP

Check out this new soil tech coming out of the UK! Andrej Porovic, chief executive of PES Technologies, said: "Currently, the biggest barrier to the uptake of regenerative farming is the understanding of soil health and the cost of testing. There are no good quality, affordable tests for soil health – that’s the problem we want to solve." Do you think soil testing would help bring more farmers into the regenerative movement? #soilhealth #regenerativefarming #regenerativeagriculture https://lnkd.in/g4w4bVCq

Who caught this regenerative ad by Tazo Tea and Edelman? When it came out, we felt it in our bones. The amount of thought and attention to detail that went into making this, even down to eco-set choices, was truly impressive. It's high time we saw more of this regenerative thinking in the retail and CPG space! It's not just for farmers...it's for leaders everywhere. #regenerativeagriculture #regeneration #regenerative #cpg #ecofriendly #sustainability #retail

We hope you're no stranger to regenerative agriculture (and we hope you aren't either), but have you heard of Integrated Landscape Management (ILM)? Forbes lays out the framework in its latest article: "At its heart, ILM is about strong, locally-led partnerships that generate trust and a shared understanding of natural and socioeconomic processes in the landscape, including agriculture. Building on that foundation, these partnerships can define a long-term transformation strategy and adaptive action plans promoting synergies between public, private, and community projects. ILM is not just a concept; it is a practical, proven approach and set of methods that extend regeneration’s usefulness beyond local farms to entire regions." How will you practice ILM on your farm, community, or garden to grow the regenerative movement? Do you have practical tips to help others? #regenerativeagriculture #agriculture #soilhealth #farming Read it > https://lnkd.in/gcspEym7

How can mushrooms help support regenerative farming methods? At Booneslick Heritage Farm, a family-owned flower and vegetable farm in Mid-Missouri, mushrooms are an integral part of the agriculture system. Matt Arthur, the farm's co-owner, is on a mission to improve overall soil health and reduce fertilizer use through a handful of regenerative practices. For instance, their Golden oyster mushrooms aren't just a crop. Post-harvest, they're turned into compost gold—used to feed worms, making a natural fertilizer known as worm castings, also a seed starting mix. Talk about a full-circle farm-to-fork (and back-to-farm) story! #regenerativefarming #regenerativeagriculture #sustainablefarming #mycology #mushrooms
