Here's a look inside the creative process for the Seattle City Flag products.

Product innovation in action ✨ Excited to share a glimpse into my creative process with you all! As I walked Seattle I observed people wearing NY Yankee and LA Dodgers hats. These caps embody more than just baseball teams, they embody the culture of the cities they represent. This inspired me to create a contemporary Seattle City Flag cap - the Glacier Cap, influenced by Mount Rainier/Tahoma. 🗻 The initial iteration in 2022 marked a promising start, but came with its limitations - a slightly small logo, thin wave puff, and quality concerns. After insightful monthly outreach this past summer, I discovered Seattleites loved the corduroy style from my Emerald City caps, leading me to diversify colors and partner with a top-notch manufacturer. The outcome? An enhanced Glacier Cap on the right - with a striking logo, improved style, quality, and cost-efficiency - the new hats cost less per unit because I have access to wholesalers now. This journey reminded me the value of persistence and continuous refinement. Remember, progress takes time; keep honing your ideas and never cease learning. 🗻 #SeattleCityFlag #SeattleFlag #Seattle #UrbanDesign #CitiesOfTheFuture #Innovation

This past weekend, Seattle City Flag had the pleasure of attending a home soccer match for West Seattle Junction FC to foster cross-city partnerships and collaboration. We were delighted to witness their shared values of community, inclusion, and connection on display! Before our arrival, the contemporary Seattle Flag was prominently featured, welcoming attendees, and miniature versions were integrated into the player walk-on, showcasing unity and collaboration. Don't miss West Seattle Junction FC's final home match on Sunday, July 14th, against Ballard FC, with whose supporter group we've also partnered. It promises to be an electrifying conclusion to the regular season! 🚩⚽ #CommunityPartnerships #SeattleUnity #SeattleCityFlag #UrbanDesign #CitiesOfTheFuture

This past Saturday, Seattle City Flag had the opportunity to showcase our work at On The Block, a market celebrating art and culture in Seattle. It was truly energizing to engage with the community and share our project about Seattle's vibrant civic design heritage. We had a range of positive interactions, from a veteran eager to adorn his walker with a Seattle flag sticker to an artist inspired to create a rap about Seattle’s contemporary flag after witnessing our work. Despite initial surprise from some attendees about city flags, once we delved into the history, art, and future plans, the feedback turned overwhelmingly positive! A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated business advisor, Courtney, whose outreach efforts resonated with both visitors and vendors at the market. And a big shoutout to everyone who purchased our products – you all looked incredibly stylish! #SeattleCityFlag #SeattleFlag #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleArt #UrbanDesign #CitiesOfTheFuture #Innovation

We love seeing small businesses in Seattle thrive and it's even better to partner with the resources from Seattle's Office of Economic Development! Cafe Avole ☕ is such a beautiful community business and we're happy to see how they're working to keep the goodwill and heart of our neighborhoods strong. 🌊 Watch to the end to catch a peak of their Seattle City Flag displayed in the business -- and even better to go see it in person! #SeattleEconomy #SeattleCityFlag #CitiesoftheFuture
