You could try adapting your existing CI/CD toolset to orchestrate your infrastructure... Or you could use a platform designed specifically for the purpose 🤔 We've created The Build vs. Buy Guide to Scaling Infrastructure as Code (linked in the comments) to help you make an informed choice 📕 In the guide, we cover three key shortcomings of generic CI/CD tools when repurposed for infrastructure management. Here's the first: ❌ Maintenance complexity and reliability issues #iac #devops #platformengineering #infrastructureascode

OpenTofu has just reached a significant milestone with the release of its beta registry UI! 🎉 🚀 Why am I so excited about this? Because the OpenTofu registry is at the center of our community. With the UI, you can easily discover the right providers and modules and learn more about best practices. The registry will accelerate #OpenTofu adoption across the community and enterprises by bringing the entire OpenTofu ecosystem together, making life much easier for engineers who want to understand OpenTofu and the best ways to use it 💪 I put together a blog post where you can find out more about how the new OpenTofu registry UI works: https://lnkd.in/d445VzCz #iac #devops #platformengineering #infrastructureascode

Autoscaling is a useful feature for scaling workers up or down, based on the number of jobs pending inside the Spacelift platform 📈 In this tutorial (linked in the comments), 🚀 Joey Stout combines the following open-source technologies to achieve this: 1️⃣ A Spacelift Worker Pool Controller is installed in the cluster to manage the worker pool. 2️⃣ A Prometheus Exporter is installed in the cluster to expose the queue length of the worker pool. 3️⃣ A KEDA ScaledObject is installed in the cluster to monitor the queue length and scale the worker pool based on the queue length from a Prometheus query. ❗This is a beta feature, so we'd love to get your feedback on how we can make it even better.
