This week, we hosted an exciting Workshop at ASTRA with the amazing partners InsurTech Israel, Israel Space Agency, Harel Dan Yuval Lorig. In the workshop we explored the growing intersection between space technology and insurance. As Earth Observation, satellite data, and space infrastructure evolve, insurance is becoming a key enabler of risk management, underwriting, and financial sustainability in the field. Key Takeaways from the Event: ✅ Earth Observation & Risk Management – How satellite imagery is revolutionizing insurance for climate risks and natural disasters. ✅ Space Insurance & Policy Innovation – The challenges and opportunities of insuring satellites, launch vehicles, and space assets. ✅ Startups & InsurTech – How emerging startups are bridging the gap between space tech and insurance, creating new business models and risk solutions. 🚀 What’s Next? Next week, we are launching Cohort 6 of the ASTRA program! 🔗 Stay tuned for more ASTRA workshops & collaborations! Excited to share that Dalus (YC W25) is now part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch! We're building a collaborative, web-based model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tool for engineers building complex hardware for aerospace, defense, robotics, and other mission-critical industries. My co-founder Eliot Khachi and I can both attest to the fact that too many exceptional engineers are being distracted by non-engineering work-- we aim to fix that. If you're building complex hardware and are interested, DM me or visit dalus.io! Looking forward to building awesome things for engineers!
