Bees provide essential support for our environment, its ecosystems, and our economy by pollinating various flowers, fruits, and vegetables. We’d like to highlight Shawn Pease from Talcott’s Operations department who volunteers for two organizations that are dedicated to protecting bees, the Clinton Sease Farm and SC Beautiful Bees in South Carolina. Her efforts are wide-reaching and include everything from feeding the bees, treating them to prevent disease or pests in the hive, and inspecting the hive to sustain its population.
