Supporting Education has been one of our continued initiatives over the years. The Northern Virginia Science Center offers a summer cybersecurity internship program targeting high school seniors and college freshmen. This initiative emphasizes both professional skills development and cybersecurity training. Last month, Michelle Hope from Techaxis, Inc., an expert in tech recruitment, conducted a highly regarded session for the participants in this age group. Her insights were well-received by the interns. After completing two weeks of intensive professional skills and cybersecurity training, forty high schoolers have now embarked on industry placements at prominent organizations such as Leidos, CGI Federal, Maximus, and Appian Corporation. This opportunity marks a significant step forward for these young individuals, and we are grateful to contribute to their growth. Here's to a promising future!

#Pride month gives us and added opportunity to draw attention to leaders who have led the way, to bring about change in the way the corporate world adapt and welcome #LGBTQ members into their team. Founder of United Therapeutics Corporation and former CEO of SiriusXM, Martine Rothblatt is a trailblazing transgender entrepreneur. Her contributions span from pharmaceuticals to space law, and she is known for her innovative work and advocacy for transgender rights. We continue to shine a spotlight on leading LGBTQ corporate leaders around the world. Based in the UK, Inga Beale’s influence extends globally, including her time as CEO of Lloyd's of London. She is openly bisexual and has been a powerful advocate for LGBTQ rights in the corporate world, implementing inclusive policies at Lloyd’s and promoting diversity throughout the insurance industry. Her leadership has been recognized internationally, and she continues to push for greater equality and inclusion in the workplace. Last week Techaxis, Inc in collaboration with TechGirlz Lateetud and It Takes A Village (www.ittav.org) hosted an in-person workshop for Middle School girls on Artificial Intelligence - How Computers Learn. During this event, participants got an opportunity to explore how machine learning techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks learn from data to answer real world questions. Our CEO Parveen Pathan interacted with 24 middle school students from Loudon County along with the CEO of Lateetud Pawan Jadhav who engaged with them in an interactive workshop. This is a part of our global initiatives to support tech education for girls.

As promised this Pride month, we shine the spotlight on leaders who are creating a safe environment for people who identify as LGBTQI+, as well as their allies and continue to lead the way for acceptance and inclusion in the workplace. As the CEO of Dow Chemical Company, Jim Fitterling has been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ inclusion in the workplace. Since coming out publicly in 2014, he has worked tirelessly to make Dow a more inclusive environment, including appointing the company's first Chief Inclusion Officer and flying the rainbow flag at Dow’s headquarters. Our commitment to the environment goes beyond words as we engage in initiatives that promote sustainable living and enhance urban greenery.
