This seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 12 from 7:30 - 10:00 am at BRANDT® located at 2935 South Koke Mill Rd. in Springfield. A light breakfast will be provided by Nelson's Catering of Central Illinois starting at 7:30 am. Attendees will be apart of HR Roundtables, each dedicated to a specific HR topic and led by a local HR professional. Attendees will rotate between tables. The Chamber along with presenting sponsor, Lincoln Land Community College will hold TWO jobs fairs on Tuesday, March 25 at the Crowne Plaza Springfield - Convention Center! We are bringing BACK the Youth Job Fair that will be held from 12:30 - 2:30 pm. This fair is great to see potential candidates for summer employment and for those students looking to get out into the workforce. We will have the Traditional Job Fair for adults and people of all ages from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Early Bird rate of $175 is going on now for employers to join! Want to be a part of BOTH fairs? Former Congressman Rodney Davis, now leading the Government Affairs Office at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, delivered a presentation today to our Key Tiered Investors. Rodney provided insights into his responsibilities at the U.S. Chamber and highlighted the organization's policy agenda. He discussed critical topics such as the potential impacts of losing the Tax Cut and Jobs Act (TCJA), the implications of tariffs, and the challenges surrounding immigration. Additionally, he shared his perspective on the upcoming cabinet appointments under the Trump Administration, the ongoing transition process, and how he plans to collaborate with the new administration moving forward.
