Celebrating International Women's Day and all the amazing women who help others live life without limits.
Did you know!? The nonprofit sector is made up of 75% women - from those on the front lines to executives steering the course of nonprofit organizations. At UCP of Sacramento and Northern California, that number is just a little hire, at 81% (698 our of 862 employees). I am beyond grateful and appreciative of the women who have chosen to devote their talents and energy to making a difference in the lives of others. Their achievements inspire us all to continue working towards a healthier and more equitable world. Thank you!

This week is #directsupportprofessionals (DSPs for short) Appreciation Week. Who are DSPs? They are the AMAZING individuals who choose to work with individuals with disabilities, at UCP of Sacramento and Northern California, individuals with intellectual disabilities. The individuals who do this work are supportive, compassionate, caring, patient, creative, accountable, perceptive, impactful, open-minded, amiable, energetic, cheerful and so much more. They are the backbone to the work we do. They are there for the program participants who rely on them everyday. And, almost guaranteed, they always have a smile on their face. To all DSPs out there, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Pictures of AWESOME UCP Staff.
