It’s always a great time with friends while raising money for a worthy cause!  Thank you Andersen Construction for hosting your annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting #GraduateTacoma!     Graduate Tacoma is a community-wide movement comprised of over 350 partners from various sectors, all dedicated to fostering student success. Their mission is to create a Tacoma where every child succeeds in school, career, and life.     We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Please do your part to be safe while celebrating to ease the extra burden on firefighters and be sure to thank your local crew!      VECA is proud to support The Big Lake Firefighters Association by sponsoring the 60th 3rd of July Fireworks Show benefitting the Fire District to help purchase new equipment, cordless jaws of life, and other life-saving pieces that help our emergency responders.     Let's celebrate our freedom responsibly. VECA’s 2nd Annual Community Health Classic Benefiting Peace Health!  We would like to thank everyone that came out and made our 2nd Annual Community Health Classic such a huge success! Thanks to our sponsor’s involvement, the picture-perfect PNW summer day, PeaceHealth, VECA volunteers, Avalon staff, and the 190+ golfers who participated for making this a special day for a worthy cause. Trail Day on Galbraith Mountain!   VECA’s Bellingham Team sponsors a local mountain biking trail on Galbraith Mountain, and twice a year the team helps clean up Keiser Trail so fellow mountain bikers can easily access the route.     On Saturday, June 15th, Johnny Lahr, Will Edison, Miles Hancock, Alyssa Kestrel and Dale Aune volunteered their time to help. The team used a brush hog, weedwacker, shovels, racks, trimmers, and blowers to clean overgrowth from the previous season. It’s been a busy spring at VECA Technologies in Phoenix, AZ – with employee spotlights, industry events, and charitable causes!     First, a big shoutout to Gersom Garcia Mella for being our AZ Safety Champion! Gersom has been a rockstar as a Technology Telecom installer by showing strong leadership, adapting quickly, and in turn helping our Arizona brand grow. Safety is our top priority, and we love to see our technicians thrive in our Zero Incident Program safety culture. Thank you, Gersom, for doing your part to keep job sites safe.    Next up, our team had an amazing time at the Graybar 9th Annual Tabletop Tech Talk at the Legacy Golf Resort. VECA truly valued being a part of this event and we're excited to join again next year. In early June, VECA participated in the 4th Annual DPR Construction Arizona Cornhole Tournament! The team thoroughly enjoyed helping support Banner Children’s Community Mental Health Initiative as the court sponsor. We are looking forward to a busy summer ahead with our Arizona community partners.

Justin has worked at VECA for 11 years out of our Seattle office and is currently a Project Manager at the Western State Hospital project in Lakewood, WA.     His favorite part of working for VECA is the culture integrated from top down and bottom up. Managing projects allows me to interact with multiple people in the company, clients, and our partners in other trades and industries. When you get to know one another, you start realizing all the ties that bind us, giving the work we do renewed purpose beyond the superficial.     A fun fact about Justin is that he is a collector and enjoys a variety of hobbies ranging from recreational activities to arts, crafts, and model building. 3 EMR SAFETY AWARDS 2024! 🥇🥇🥇  Yesterday, VECA was awarded the #2 Lowest EMR out of all electrical contractors in WA (out of 2,818 active companies). We ranked #3 in Lowest EMR for all construction companies in WA (out of 37,064 active companies) and #8 out of all companies in WA state (out of 235,755 active companies). Ava Sage, Corporate Claims Director, and Kyle Butler, Chief Legal Officer accepted the awards for VECA.    Safety isn’t something we say we do, it is engrained in our culture and the ranking results demonstrate this commitment. These awards belong to everyone at VECA. This success could not have been achieved without our amazing Field Safety Team, and all our employees who help one another stay safe out in the field.
