As 2023 is coming to an end....... The end of 2023 is coming to an end, so I wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all of you for your continued support. This year, we celebrated See The Future being officially registered 10 years and held our 12th Annual Charity Ball for it, we've been a part of the @exeter_chiefs_foundation for the 6th season, held various raffles/auctions, so yet again, another successful year and none would have been achieved if it wasn't for you. 2024, I've got some really exciting events coming up, including skydiving, wingwalking, and the 3 peaks challenge, which is a new event for See The Future, so I'm very excited. If one of your New Year Resolutions is to do something for charity, maybe one of the charity events that I've listed above or something different, I'd love to hear from you. Or maybe your New Year Resolutions is to look after yourself a bit more, then please follow my page for advice, book in an opticians appointment, it's all about opening eyes to a better health. Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's Therapies team needs your help! 🆘 As you can see, this small outdoor space in our Therapy Outpatients department could do with a little TLC... 💚 It’s a neglected space that has potential to be so much more.  As its situated in the middle of the department, surrounded by windows, patients, visitors, and staff can see out to the courtyard – and we’re sure you’ll agree, it’s not particularly inspiring. It’s not open to the public but staff currently access the space to store hospital equipment through those two doors on the right.  With your support, we can turn a lifeless and unappealing area into a special sanctuary for staff to take timeout, reflect, socialise, and simply enjoy the benefits of getting some fresh air during their busy day. So, how can you help? 🏵️ Donate potted plants, climbers, seating, arches, or decorative garden items  💚 Make a donation to our charity and we’ll allocate it to this project   ✨ Volunteer your time to de-weed and tidy  💡Suggest other ways you or your company could improve the courtyard – we're always open to ideas! This is a project that can only happen through charitable donations and support from our community.  Therapies Operations Manager Brayden Williams says, “Being able to look out and enjoy a brighter view from our department’s windows would really benefit patients and staff from a wellbeing perspective. Something as simple as taking a cup of tea outside on a break can be a real mood-booster. What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time.  Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this.  Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio #leadership
