Dana has worked at VECA for 5 years as an Associate Project Manager. She currently works out of our Seattle office on Technologies Division projects for the Port of Seattle.    “My favorite part of the job are my coworkers and being part of a team. When great minds get together, ideas turn into processes, which turn into a product and the feeling of comradery that comes from that is very rewarding. It is also nice to be able to see a finished project and think, “hey look- we helped do that!”    A fun fact about Dana is that she loves to explore new places! “I have equal love for the PNW, being outdoors, hiking or camping, and traveling the world. I lived in Panama during a semester of college – teaching ASL - and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It’s always a great time with friends while raising money for a worthy cause!  Thank you Andersen Construction for hosting your annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting #GraduateTacoma!     Graduate Tacoma is a community-wide movement comprised of over 350 partners from various sectors, all dedicated to fostering student success. Please do your part to be safe while celebrating to ease the extra burden on firefighters and be sure to thank your local crew!      VECA is proud to support The Big Lake Firefighters Association by sponsoring the 60th 3rd of July Fireworks Show benefitting the Fire District to help purchase new equipment, cordless jaws of life, and other life-saving pieces that help our emergency responders.     Let's celebrate our freedom responsibly. VECA’s 2nd Annual Community Health Classic Benefiting Peace Health!  We would like to thank everyone that came out and made our 2nd Annual Community Health Classic such a huge success! Thanks to our sponsor’s involvement, the picture-perfect PNW summer day, PeaceHealth, VECA volunteers, Avalon staff, and the 190+ golfers who participated for making this a special day for a worthy cause. Trail Day on Galbraith Mountain!   VECA’s Bellingham Team sponsors a local mountain biking trail on Galbraith Mountain, and twice a year the team helps clean up Keiser Trail so fellow mountain bikers can easily access the route.     On Saturday, June 15th, Johnny Lahr, Will Edison, Miles Hancock, Alyssa Kestrel and Dale Aune volunteered their time to help. The team used a brush hog, weedwacker, shovels, racks, trimmers, and blowers to clean overgrowth from the previous season. It’s been a busy spring at VECA Technologies in Phoenix, AZ – with employee spotlights, industry events, and charitable causes!     First, a big shoutout to Gersom Garcia Mella for being our AZ Safety Champion! Gersom has been a rockstar as a Technology Telecom installer by showing strong leadership, adapting quickly, and in turn helping our Arizona brand grow. Safety is our top priority, and we love to see our technicians thrive in our Zero Incident Program safety culture. Thank you, Gersom, for doing your part to keep job sites safe.    Next up, our team had an amazing time at the Graybar 9th Annual Tabletop Tech Talk at the Legacy Golf Resort. VECA truly valued being a part of this event and we're excited to join again next year. In early June, VECA participated in the 4th Annual DPR Construction Arizona Cornhole Tournament! The team thoroughly enjoyed helping support Banner Children’s Community Mental Health Initiative as the court sponsor. We are looking forward to a busy summer ahead with our Arizona community partners.
