The mini-series focused on the renovation of six houses, gardens and a community garden in Kingston College, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, over nine days. The aim was to refurbish previously uninhabitable housing to create new homes for women and children forced to flee the war in Ukraine. #homeupgrade #sponsorship #diysos

Chief Investment Officer, Wellspring Wealth Management. We earn trust through our expertise, respect, and accountability. Clients are at the epicenter of every decision we make, and the best part is we love what we do.
The sources of how sports teams and leagues make their money has not changed much over the past 40 years... Tickets, sponsorships and broadcast rights continue to be the main buckets of revenue, while concessions, parking, merchandise and non-team events fill out the income statement. What has changed, however, is the size of those different buckets and varies dramatically from league to league, which impacts how bankers and investors value these clubs.

Euro 2024 finally kicked off on Friday night with Scotland taking on hosts Germany, followed by England’s opening match against Serbia last night. As a major football tournament, all matches are on free to air television, so much of the heavy lift is done by traditional broadcasting, rather than streaming services, especially as the decision was made that matches from this year’s tournament would not be available in 4K. However, the internet still plays a crucial role and here’s three quick snapshots of how these much-anticipated matches impacted our broadband network: Nearly 2 million households relied on our fixed network to watch the matches live and stay close to the action (1.39 million for England and 571k for Scotland). Both the England (186%) and Scotland (341%) games drove huge increases in data usage (in comparison to the same time periods on an average week). Total network traffic was 15,664 TB for England v Serbia and 15,104 TB for Scotland v Germany, reaching a peak of 18.5 Terabits per second during England’s win. with the BBC and ITV each breaking into the list of top 3 content providers during the game they showed. Netflix and YouTube remained the two most popular CPs during both matches. Check out the heatmaps below to see how much demand there was in your local area.

Like every other successful business, the importance of financial planning for rugby clubs, especially at a community level, cannot be overstated. It is crucial for their sustainability and success, enabling efficient resource allocation for quality facilities, coaching, and equipment. Establishing a clear financial plan helps clubs set realistic budgets, manage expenses, and forecast future needs, ensuring financial stability. Effective financial planning allows clubs to identify diverse revenue streams, such as sponsorships, fundraising events, and grants, reducing reliance on single funding sources. This diversification mitigates financial uncertainties, supporting long-term viability. A well-structured financial plan prioritises investments in player development, community outreach, and infrastructure improvements. This strategic allocation enhances the club’s ability to attract and retain members, fostering growth and success. Transparent financial management builds trust with stakeholders, demonstrating accountability and professionalism to members, sponsors, and the local community. This transparency encourages support and engagement, further solidifying the club’s reputation. In conclusion, financial planning is vital for community rugby clubs to thrive, ensuring sustainable operations, strategic growth, and a positive impact on their communities. By prioritising sound financial practices, these clubs secure their future in the sport and society. #RugbyFinance #CommunitySports #FinancialPlanning #RugbySustainability #SportsManagement #ClubDevelopment #RugbyGrowth #YouthRugby #Sponsorship #CommunityEngagement
