A Florida-based USPS mail carrier attacked while making deliveries is now concerned that she may lose her job. Rose recalled to local station WSVN a violent confrontation that happened to her on March 6 in North Miami. The woman, who did not want her last name used in the report, was delivering mail when two women came by the set of mailboxes, and, as WSVN reported, one of them attempted to grab a package. More proof that the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is more concerned with their precious image than actually serving the American, stamp-buying public that pays their highly lucrative salaries and benefits. What other federal law enforcement agency could possibly be dumb enough to claim to be involved in surge operations to combat mail theft--only then to announce to criminals that they've ended said surge operations and moved on to God-knows what else? Answer: The same agency that announced to the American public that their own uniformed postal police are powerless to arrest mail thieves. The people running USPIS are, quite simply, morons. PS. They may claim 14 arrests, but they did not effect 14 arrests. PSS. 14 arrests is not at all impressive--it's fishing in a stocked barrel. PSSS. How long until the USPIS media machine churns out one of their legendary, highly-contrived, high-cost videos depicting postal inspectors rappelling from helicopters to arrest mail thieves in the act? Take note and avoid the scams! I get Amazon Business numbers calling me all.the.time. It is getting to the point, unfortunately, where it is best to ignore the unsolicited notifications, emails and calls completely. If you are concerned there is a stalled package or you really do want a special service from Amazon or your bank... 🚫DO NOT click the link 👈 🚫DO NOT confirm/give any info on the call 👍 🚫DO NOT call that number provided in the communication 📞 Find contact information at the legitimate business website, in the phone directory (what's that?!) or go to your nearest branch or office location to discuss the matter further. Yes, it is less convenient and takes more time, but you do NOT want to engage in the scam or you may slip up and news of weaknesses travels fast on the darkweb. Many scams are actually designed to get your sense of urgency pumping because that's where your sense of logic is more likely to fail you.
The U.S. Postal Service was the most impersonated organization in 2023. How? Scammers generally targeted people by claiming their packages couldn’t be delivered, requiring them to provide information or pay delivery/redelivery fees. If you got one of those text messages, you weren't alone. Read the report: BBB.org/RiskReport #BBBRiskReport

From the article: "Fortunately, police officers were in the right place at the right time, locating a possible suspect vehicle." That's what police patrolling is all about. Who doesn't know this (or knows it, but ignorantly chooses to ignore the obvious fact)? The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Chief Postal Inspector Gary Barksdale, and his inept Office of Counsel. Postal crimes are happening--with frightening regularity--in the streets of the U.S., while uniformed postal police officers have been confined--by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service--to postal real estate (where crime is infrequent). Kudos to the Fullerton Police Department for a job well done. But rest assured--if they haven't already done so--the U.S. Postal Inspection Service will take full credit for the job Fullerton Police performed and the arrests they effected.** **When local police apprehend and arrest offender(s), Postal Inspectors merely claim the arrest for their own statistical purposes. As stated by the U.S. Attorney: "a Postal Inspector does not need to be physically present to “claim” an arrest" (Brief in ROBERT NIGG; KEITH LEWIS, et al., Plaintiffs-Appellants, v. UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE). The U.S. Attorney made clear: “The act of ‘claiming’ an arrest does not necessarily require a Postal Inspector to physically arrest a suspect. A common occurrence is the physical arrest of a suspect by local law enforcement with a Postal Inspector later being assigned to the “Postal” aspect of the case and then “claiming” the arrest." In other words, in their official yearly statistics for Fiscal year 2024 (that go to Congress and the media), these three arrests will be categorized as if Postal Inspectors handcuffed these offenders. They didn't--but why let the truth interfere with their highly-padded statistics? 🚨 Urgent Notice: Break-In at Our White-Rock Office 🏢🚨 We're reeling from a shocking incident that occurred this week. On Monday night, between 12 am - 1 am, our White-Rock office was broken into. The perpetrators were quick and calculated, making off with an estimated $30,000 worth of digital and marketing equipment, including both personal and professional items. The culprits have been identified as two South-Asian men. What's alarming is that they had a key to access our office, a key stolen from my car during a previous break-in into our family's vehicles on Sunday night. It's clear that this is a coordinated effort. This situation is deeply concerning, and we're asking for your assistance. If you have any information or insights about these individuals, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our primary goal is to recover our stolen belongings. Police reports have been filed and all surveillance footages have been submitted to the proper authorities to ensure that these individuals face the consequences of their actions. If you have any insight into the identities of these individuals please reach out. Let's come together as a community to bring justice to this situation. 🙏🔍 #CommunitySupport #JusticeForAll #WhiteRock #BreakIn #BCcrime #CrimeinWhiterock

A good follow-up to my post from March: Stealing Copper Cable https://lnkd.in/gjt8DKka It is dangerous, and impacts all of us, interrupting our communications links by damaging critical infrastructure.
Two individuals were arrested in the Kingston area yesterday while attempting to steal copper cables from Bell’s network. I would like to thank law enforcement who are working hard to apprehend criminals purposely damaging our critical infrastructure and jeopardizing residents’ ability to communicate with each other. If anyone has information concerning copper cable theft or any criminal activity impacting our network, please don’t hesitate to contact your local police.

If you were the cop answering this call, would you have done anything differently? Would you really even know what to do? There are a couple of things I would have done differently. And then there would also have been some uncertainty on my part as to exactly what steps to take to help this victim get her money back. https://lnkd.in/eKHYPcqn #scamprevention #scamawareness #fraudprevention #fraudawareness
