An aspiring medical student in Shreveport, Louisiana, was declared brain dead after his pals shoved him into a lake while knowing he couldn’t swim, and instead of helping, stood by and watched as the man struggled to save himself, according to police. Christopher Gilbert, who last year earned his master’s in biological science from Louisiana Tech University, made a ‘miraculous’ recovery following the April 14 incident in which a group of co-workers pushed him off a dock at Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville, then did nothing to rescue the man as he began drowning. Lauryn Hill broke records at the 41st annual GRAMMY Awards in 1998, earning 10 nominations, and winning five, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year for "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." A Florida-based USPS mail carrier attacked while making deliveries is now concerned that she may lose her job. Rose recalled to local station WSVN a violent confrontation that happened to her on March 6 in North Miami. The woman, who did not want her last name used in the report, was delivering mail when two women came by the set of mailboxes, and, as WSVN reported, one of them attempted to grab a package. When federal agents were raiding the Los Angeles and Miami homes of Sean “Diddy” Combs on Monday, March 25, the disgraced music mogul was nowhere in sight. Left to face the law enforcement personnel searching the L.A. home were his sons, Justin, 30, and Christian, 25, while Diddy’s private jet apparently had left the country. The search by federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations was conducted in connection to allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and involvement in the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms. However the company’s response to the gambling debt rumors has fans of the “Count on Me” singer collectively scratching their heads.
