🧠💪 On this #GlioblastomaAwarenessDay, we’re spotlighting the significant progress towards advancing research efforts to improve outcomes for patients with glioblastoma. Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute is at the forefront of glioblastoma research and we’re thrilled to announce that our dedicated researchers have secured a $3.4 million R01 grant from the The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to advance the fight against #glioblastoma, the most common and deadliest brain cancer. This groundbreaking project, led by Baptist Health’s chief scientific officer, Manmeet Ahluwalia, MD, MBA, FASCO and Dr. Pallavi Tiwari, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who serve as the co-principal investigators of the study, aims to distinguish radiation effects from tumor recurrence using cutting-edge imaging and predictive modeling. Learn more about the study that is in collaboration with Miami Cancer Institute, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Cleveland Clinic and Moffitt Cancer Center here: https://bapth.lt/GBMDay Let’s honor the perseverance of all those affected by glioblastoma and support the ongoing research that brings hope. 💙 🔬 Together, we’re working diligently towards a better future. 🌟
