As we approach the end of Pride Month, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the importance of allyship. Pride Month is a beautiful celebration of love, acceptance, and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community. But let's remember that support shouldn't be limited to these 30 days. Being an ally means showing up consistently, even when the rainbow flags come down. We're all on a journey of self-discovery and growth. As allies, it's crucial to keep learning, unlearning, and challenging biases. Attend workshops, read books, listen to diverse voices, and engage in conversations that expand your understanding. Allyship isn't performative—it's about action. Reach out to LGBTQ+ friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. Ask how they're doing, celebrate their victories, and stand by them during challenges. Amplify their voices and advocate for equal rights. None of us have all the answers so it's important to approach allyship with humility. Seek feedback, acknowledge mistakes, and commit to doing better. The more we learn, the stronger our support becomes. #PrideMonth #Allyship #LoveIsLove #InclusionMatters

Pridemonth is a monumental time of the year. It is a time to remember the remarkable equal rights journey the LGBTQ+ community has fought for decades. And it is a month where I personally take some time to reflect on how far we’ve come as a country. Pride Month also serves as a reminder of the importance of respect and inclusivity in all aspects of our lives. June is a month bursting with significance, and as a proud black woman-owned, minority business, we stand at the intersection of celebration and advocacy. 🌈 Pride Month - This June, let's amplify our voices in support of LGBTQ+ rights. Did you know? A recent study shows that 46% of LGBTQ+ workers report being closeted at work. It's time for change! 🧠 Men's Mental Health Month- We acknowledge the silent struggle many men face. Statistically, 1 in 10 men experience depression and anxiety, yet less than half seek treatment. 🎊 Juneteenth - This Juneteenth, we remember that 156 years ago, the last enslaved African Americans learned they were free. This momentous day marks a critical point in our history. Dr. Rashonda Harris, our founder, eloquently connects these themes: "June invites us to reflect on our shared struggles and victories. Whether it’s fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, advocating for mental health awareness, or honoring the significance of Juneteenth, each battle moves us closer to a society that cherishes diversity and inclusivity." A: Florida International University: Graduate Research Assistant. Q: Hometown? A: A small town in Eastern Washington State. Q: Where are you currently based? A: South Florida. Q: What does InReach's mission (to match LGBTQ+ people facing persecution and discrimination with safe, verified resources) mean to you? A: InReach means that more LGBTQ+ people can know they will be safe when reaching out to services. There is too much hate in the world and any way we can create safe spaces is a way to help our fellow humans thrive and embrace who they are. Q: Why did you join the InReach Young Professionals Board Program? A: I joined the Young Professionals Board to share and expand my skills, widen my network of LGBTQ+ supporters, and learn more about LGBTQ+ affirming resources that I can direct others to. Supporting InReach and collaborating with other people passionate about increasing acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community will help me help others. Q: What's your favorite thing about being an InReach Young Professionals Board member?
