Creating a more inclusive and sustainable holistic approach leads to fun movements and impact.

"Bengaluru slips to the #125th spot in the Swaccha Survekshan Program 2023", according to the blunt headlines from TheNewIndiaTimes TNIT. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time our city has found itself scraping the #bottom in terms of cleanliness and waste management. #Indore, on the flip side, continues to claim the top position for cleanliness and waste management. How do they do it? Well, as per TheHindu Times, Indore charges a modest fee from each household to recycle segregated waste. Moreover, every month, the #citizens of Indore roll up their sleeves and hit the streets to clean up the mess we create as a community. The secret sauce lies in the #collective action embraced by both officials and citizens in Indore. Their joint efforts have proven instrumental in keeping dumpsites at bay, resulting in fewer instances of #garbage burning and subsequently, an improvement in the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) and Health standards. Now, let's talk about Bengaluru. Despite implementing segregated waste collection system, the city has fumbled in instilling a sense of #responsibility among its citizens. The lack of a united front has left the dumping and burning issues unchecked. Here's where I come in, rallying for a collective action to turn the tide in our city. I'm reaching out to #fellow community members, #citizens, and #officials, urging everyone to join forces. Together, we can transform Bengaluru into a haven with no pungent spots, no buzzing flies invading our homes, and no lakes choked with waste. Currently, we are a team of 35 citizens/volunteers taking action but with million of population we need more hands to join the initiative.
