Massive congrats to Sam Gutmann and the Own Company team for the big news! Salesforce is on a roll, and this acquisition is a very pragmatic, solid step that the market (and the ecosystem) will love! If you haven't heard already, Own Company, the creators of #OwnBackup, are now part of Salesforce. $1.9bn very well spent! Here are 3 reasons why at #Nativevideo we have a debt of gratitude towards #Own, and we want to take the opportunity of this announcement to publicly #thank them: 1. What's in a #name? Ownbackup <> Nativevideo When criticised for the lack of fantasy in the choice of our company name (D'oh!), we'd always be able to make a reference to a company, in our neighbour, that successfully did exactly the same! 2. Doesn't Salesforce offer something #similar? When asked this question, especially lately with the repurposing of old Einstein Conversation Insights demo videos, inspired by OwnBackup's approach, we have always invited Clients to look a bit deeper, behind the demo, and maybe try it out. This is how they found that our product is superior and ultimately better suited to support their broader Einstein strategy! 3. #Reputation, #energy and Customer #Success blueprint. Own has been a source of inspiration for us at Nativevideo (and likely the broader ISV ecosystem) also in how they built a super positive reputation, bringing energy and fun (despite their geek-y solution 🤓) and creating success with ALL their engagements.
