36 Hours of Insight, Action, and Connection Just returned from a whirlwind 36-hour trip that took me from Fort Worth to San Angelo and Abilene, and back again. Each stop brought its own set of revelations and responsibilities, underlining the relentless pace of progress in our ventures. 🚗 On the Road: Kicked off with a drive to San Angelo, touring our properties, and engaging directly with our laundromat operations and shopping centers. We’re committed to excellence and continuous improvement—it was enlightening to see the impact of recent upgrades and also note areas where we need to step up our game. 📚 Community Engagement: Delivered children’s books to our laundromats. It’s always uplifting to see these spaces thriving, becoming community hubs that go beyond just providing services, but also enriching lives. 🏋️♂️ Personal Reflection: Each day began with meditation and an early workout—fueling the body and mind for effective leadership. 🍽️ Strategic Discussions: In Abilene, a meaningful lunch with a business partner not only strengthened our bond but also helped us align our visions for future growth. 🏢 Exploring New Opportunities: Visited potential sites for new laundromats, met with tenants, and engaged with the community, reaffirming our commitment to expanding our presence thoughtfully and impactfully. 📖 Continuous Learning: On the drive back, listened to Richard Rohr’s Immortal Diamond. His insights paralleled the deep conversations I had about our strategic direction and growth. 🤝 Team Collaboration: Ended the journey with crucial conversations with partners, setting a solid plan of action. This trip was a potent reminder of the power of focused energy and intentional actions. I’m grateful for the amazing team and community we’re building with. How do founders know if they are doing the right thing while doing things right? Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting Anat Pessate-Schubert, Ph.D who led her workshop, "Focus”. Anat guided our FastLane 9 founders and participants to hone-in on their purpose- a clear, overarching mission that will drive their ventures forward. A key take away that Anat provided is the difference between strategy and planning, that while often used interchangeably are very different. With a clear purpose, strategy and right OKRs, these founders are navigating their teams effectively to do the right thing while doing things right.

Today is my 1 year anniversary at Growth... That's wild! Even crazier is how my relationship with the company has evolved over time! It went kind of like this 👇 3.5+ years ago: I was looking for a firm that could help me set up the right systems and develop a great strategy for the fleet-software start up I was running here in the USA 1.5 years ago (when the pic was taken): Although the work done by Growth was incredible, internal issues between my start up's owners had led that venture to fail. I was a bit lost and looking for direction from my mentor and friend, Christopher Nault and hanging out with the Growth team (shout out William (Will) Davidson and Katrina Horne). 1 year ago: I was offered to join Growth as a BDR intern. I had a lot to learn but I was excited to work with a team I loved, and with a final product I believed in. 2.5 months ago: I was given the opportunity to become Growth's Brand & Community Manager and spearhead our new community-led strategy. I was much more confident in my abilities, I had fallen in love with being a LinkedIn content creator, and I was hungry for more growth. Today: I have been working on the community manager for almost 3 months, we're making great progress, soon we will be doing our official launch. I was able to find an opportunity for a friend of mine to join me at Growth, he has been performing amazingly, and it's given me more opportunity to be a leader, which is a great part of my life mission. I couldn't be happier with where my journey has led me up until now. Joining this team has been one of the best decision I've made, the things I have learned and the people I have met alone are priceless to me. There are 3 very important values I learned from working at Growth which have helped me make good progress over time, those are: 🌲 Having a growth mindset 🌲 Focusing on progress over perfection 🌲 Striving to be authentic in every interaction I have There is a lot of work ahead of us, and I couldn't be more excited to put me head down and get it done alongside our awesome team!
