Finance Earth’s Post

🌍 Today we'd like to mark two important milestones for people and planet: 1️⃣ Social Enterprise Day As an employee-owned #SocialEnterprise, Finance Earth is committed to putting communities at the forefront of our nature and climate projects, and to investing the majority of our profits into mission-aligned initiatives. We're proud to be part of Social Enterprise UK and People and Planet First, alongside local and global partners, building a future where social and environmental impact are at the heart of the economy. 🤝 2️⃣ Nature, Oceans, Indigenous Peoples, and Gender Day at #COP29 Finance Earth has signed Nature4Climate's COP29 Nature Statement, calling on UNFCCC Parties to properly recognise and substantively finance nature’s role in addressing the climate crisis. Healthy ecosystems are not just co-benefits—they’re cost-effective climate solutions that urgently need dedicated funding with respect for the needs of Indigenous communities. Without this recognition and investment, global efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C risk being undermined. 💸 Read the COP29 Nature Statement here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dX-xWvFi #SocialEnterpriseDay #COP29 #NatureBasedSolutions #PeopleAndPlanetFirst #NCQG #ClimateFinance #NatureFinance

Alicia Gibson this is great to see. Thanks for sharing James Alexander MBE. www.theoma.earth is our start up seeking funding / collaboration to evaluate the impact our model can have. It would be great to pick up our earlier conversation now the dust has settled since COP16
