$50 million up for grabs. Today, 20 finalists for the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition were announced. The grand prize winner will receive $50 million. In the next stage of the competition the 20 finalist teams are challenged to demonstrate 1,000 net tonnes of CO2 removal. Each demonstration is judged on cost, operational performance, and the ability to meet sustainable scalability requirements. The winner of the final stage of the X Prize Carbon Removal competition will be announced April 2025. X Prize Carbon Removal has four carbon removal pathway tracks: air, oceans, land, and rocks. Put simply, these materials are manmade microscopic structures that can extract and store carbon dioxide and other molecules.   With our novel solid state carbon capture technology, we can efficiently capture the emissions of carbon dioxide, both post-combustion (PCC) and directly from the atmosphere (DAC).   Highly efficient, sustainable and scalable, the solutions based on these materials can lead to substantial and lasting reductions in the amount of carbon dioxide in our air—good news for our climate and the future generations who have to live with it. #CCUS #carboncapture #climatechange

Last week we were in Paris, as part of ACCIÓ's mission to VivaTechnology. We detected that companies, such as Airbus and EDF, and investment funds, like Google Ventures and Breakthrough Energy, are aware of the urgency to act in the current climate situation and the need to do so proactively. To this end, they consider it essential to implement a global policy to find high-impact solutions. But what are these solutions? Can we go beyond the capture and/or reduction of greenhouse gases? Opting for actual strategy will achieve climate solutions with minimal impact. If we seek to act in-situ on most of the Earth surface, the impact will be enormous. The application of a disruptive, transcendent, and global technology, like Aircure®Tech, would provide real solutions to solve and improve the economy and the planet in an accelerated way. Science already has these solutions. Why are they not being considered, and we have been making the same mistakes for decades? Major players should ask these questions before defining a new strategy to face the climate situation.
