Future Mobility’s Post

What a successful and inspiring day at the Nordic Autonomous Innovation Summit in Mountain View at our friends Volvo Innovation Hub! The day was structured with a system perspective to understand the deployment of Autonomous Driving (AD) from multiple angles: technology, policy and regulations, business models, public acceptance, and infrastructure.   Panels included key organizations and experts such as the California DMV, California Public Utilities Commission, Uber, Pony AI, Ericsson, Volvo Cars, AstaZero, and the Swedish Transport Agency, alongside thought leaders like Bryant Walker Smith and representatives from cities and public transport agencies in the Nordics and the U.S. This created a collaborative space to share insights and foster innovation.   While the approaches may differ—“US innovates, and EU regulates”—the summit demonstrated the power of dialogue and collaboration across regions to advance autonomous mobility.   Next steps? Let’s keep collaborating, sharing, and learning from one another. Perhaps the next event will take place in the Nordics—let’s make it happen!   If you’re interested in being part of this conversation or exploring partnerships, let’s connect. Together, we can drive innovation and create sustainable solutions for autonomous mobility. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event successful – from the speakers to the participants and everyone in between: Marcus Rönngren Liu, Sweden-US Green Transition Initiative), Maggie Oren, Innovation Lab by Volvo Group, Jenny Simonsen (She/Her), ITS Norway, Andreas Reschka, Pony.ai, Adam Laurell, Västtrafik, Endre Angelvik, Ruter As, Dmitriy Vanchugov, Uber, Jan Hellåker, Future Mobility, Terra Curtis, California Public Utilities Commission, Miguel Acosta, California Department of Motor Vehicles, Gry Horne Johansen, Statens vegvesen - Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Katarina Noren, Swedish Transport Agency, Henriette Cornet, Urban Innovate, Patrick Burt, City of Palo Alto, Mikael Ivari, City of Gothenburg (Göteborgs Stad), Kai Kristoffersen, Vy, Andreas Netz, Vinnova, Mathias Riback, Ericsson, Fredrik Åkeson, AstaZero, Mikael Thor, Rivian, Lena Westervall, Volvo Cars, Jon Seneger, Innovation Norway The Nordic Autonomous Innovation Summit was organized by: Nordic Innovation House - Silicon Valley, ITS Nordic+, Innovation Norway, Vinnova, Future Mobility, GTI, ITS Norway and Volvo Group.

Andreas Netz & team, tack för en trevlig dag med bra innehåll och genomförande. Mycket informatikt och nyttigt 👍👍

This was one of the best conferences I've attended as it included all the relevant players. Tech + regulators + transit agencies / operators all interested in future deployment of autonomous systems. Bravo!
