In addition to the intent of increasing the availability of high quality housing stock, the NSW Housing Pattern Book has the potential for many other positive effects, including: * Responsible use of public funds Stop starting building design from scratch at each site. Savings in construction cost can be re-invested in more sites Mid-rise uses less land space and reduced real estate costs * Utilise benefits of MMC already being developed by Homes NSW Increase local capability in the manufacture of mid-rise buildings using offsite construction.
