Why I became a PT : the administrative burden (nightmare paperwork, navigating the system and enormous cost to consumer if their insurance denies care) is so huge in the USA, there is one way to stop it. Don’t get really sick. How? Prevent illness, injury & disease. In 45 minute appointments I have caught so many red flags and been able to chat with my patients about prognostic consequences of nutrition, blood pressure, sleep, risky behavior and prevention then any other health care profession. Forty five minutes once a week. Amazing. I chose private outpatient ortho so I can catch people BEFORE they are sick. But, I also get paid the least of my colleagues. #primaryprevention #preventinjury #preventillness
