The power of words. 🍺 I couldn’t help noticing this little gimmick turning up at our house last night. 👀 The box doesn’t contain a glass…..it contains a “chalice”. 🏰 You don’t drink out of it……you “savour” it. 😌 Where do you do it? at home…in comfort. 🛋️ It turns out my partner had unusually swung by a Waitrose and staggered upon a Leffe promotion which didn’t take much convincing. 😂 The offer - buy some beers get a free glass, (sorry “chalice”)……nothing crazy about that….but the glass is a permanent reminder in the cupboard, or sideboard, (as it will inevitably be too big to fit in the cupboard), that you could be “savouring” a Leffe….at home. 🏠 I couldn’t help but admire the product placement, consumer psychology and brand alignment behind the campaign. 🎯 Bravo team AB InBev and Waitrose & Partners 👌🏻 #business #marketing #growth #beer #psychology #promotion

How did Cadbury’s re-conquer the corner shop? The creator of the Dairy Milk is this year celebrating its 200th year of existence from its usual perch at the top of Britain’s chocolate industry. Cadbury’s sales, excluding those made in discounters, rose by 10.7% to £2.1bn last year, according to the researcher Nielsen. Fresh growth has been fuelled by a steady stream of new products, from Creme Egg bars to a nutty praline Dairy Milk. After more than 100 launches since the takeover, Cadbury now boasts more than 630 products. Shopkeepers with displays resembling a “wall of purple” — so-called because of Cadbury’s signature purple packaging — are rewarded with discounts or free cases of chocolate. Yet as the nation unwraps its Easter eggs this year Cadbury and the rest of the chocolate industry are facing a daunting future. Free chocolate for vendors is only one of the ways this 200-year-old brand has stayed on top. But can it keep customers sweet while cutting the sugar?

There’s been a lot of noise regarding the discontinuation of Caramac and Animal Bars after more than 60 years since they first hit the shelves in the UK. After buying the brand in 1998, Nestlé has decided to pull the products altogether as there has been a steady decline in sales over the past few years. 2. Nespresso UK recruits David Beckham as brand partner. The partnership will consist of Beckham sharing “an exclusive view of the genuine coffee moments he enjoys” and highlight how “even as a global icon, he still needs a moment of mindfulness”, Nespresso said. 3. Scotch whisky distiller Chivas Brothers’ luxury Victorian guesthouse, Linn House, has opened to the public for the first time, in response to the growing demand for whisky tourism. Previously only accessible via invite, the manor, located by the banks of the River Isla in Keith, Scotland, will immerse visitors in the Pernod Ricard-owned brand’s whiskies and its Speyside surroundings. 4. Diageo has issued an unscheduled trading update, warning of weaker than expected performance in its Latin America and Caribbean business. It said that the region, which accounts for almost 11% of the group’s sales, had seen “materially weaker” performance and was now expected to decline organic net sales by more than 20% year on year, in the first half of its financial year. 5. Pilgrim's Pride Corporation has appointed Ivan Siqueira as president of Pilgrim’s Europe. This will see Ivan Siqueira taking overall responsibility for Pilgrim's UK, Moy Park, Pilgrim's Food Masters and Pilgrim's Shared Services Ltd in an effort to enable greater collaboration among the organisation’s businesses in Europe. #brandpartnerships #distillery #president

While traveling to #USA I was taken by my family members to a bakery near their house. Now we all know that when you smell bread, automatically your tastebuds get into full action and make you hungry. However, in this Bakery, the most unique part was that they made all our senses of 🍞seeing the beautiful arrays of products being baked. 🥐feeling the different shape and sizes of products 🥖smelling those amazing breads, 🥨tasting regional and international 👨🍳hearing the bread makers talk about the different types of breads. All happening in one location . What that did was increased our curiosity, made us try new items, build the trust with the bakery and establish their authority as people who know baking. What an amazing experience and this is what BRANDING is all about 💁♀️ “Creating the best possible EXPERIENCE for the consumers, so that they can TRUST the BRAND and keep buying from its entire range of products.” We don’t sell products we sell experience that consumers have with those products. The Champagne category has slipped in the U.S. the past two years, but after stabilizing in the first half of 2024, there could be renewed growth on the horizon. According to Impact Databank, total U.S. Champagne depletions declined 12.5% to 1.58 million 9-liter cases in 2023. The top 20 brands account for 94% of the market, led by Moët Hennessy's duo of Veuve Clicquot and Moët & Chandon, which remain not only far and away the largest Champagne labels stateside, but also the top two wine brands overall by retail dollars among all wines priced at $25 and over. #champagne #wineindustry https://lnkd.in/eg-FB8Tz
