🚨 Please share if you can...there are so many children in need this Christmas and if just a few companies do this we can make a big difference 🎄The Giving Tree was created to be an alternative to the traditional Secret Santa by the charity Kids Out. 🎅 Instead of buying anonymous ‘joke’ gifts for colleagues, the Giving Tree encourages people to buy a toy for a disadvantaged child who might otherwise receive very little – or in some cases – nothing at all at Christmas. 🎁 Last Christmas the charity, Kids Out, were able to gift 77,803 toys to children, including 6,558 boxes of 10 brand-new toys to children who had fled domestic abuse and live in refuge. 🧸Plus a further 12,223 toys to disadvantaged children, who have life-limiting disabilities, are carers, or are affected by economic hardship. 💝 So if you are considering Secret Santa - why not try this instead. P.S. I have no interest in this other than I think it's a really wonderful idea

Research by Morgan et al. (2009) highlights that household income has an impact on childrens’ development. Studies like these underscore the vital importance of quality child care, especially for working families and those in lower socioeconomic brackets. At Kids Co., we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, no matter their background. Our child care programs provide safe, supportive environments where children can develop the social, emotional, and cognitive skills they need to thrive in school and in life. By offering working parents peace of mind and giving their children a strong foundation, we help level the playing field so that every child can reach their full potential. You can support families who want to provide their child with a better future: donate, share, and advocate for a fully-funded child care system. Unless you see it up close, you can’t imagine how difficult it is for a parent to reunify with their kids who are in foster care. If you do see it up close, you know that parents are on their own after the system swoops in and removes their children. I have been a part of that system for over 30 years and made the decision to break out and create change through a new, brain-based case management model. With nothing but the proceeds from selling my camper, my husband and I started 4Sisters. Our Permanency Primers©️are experts in child welfare and have been extensively trained in this coaching model that is making a difference. How do I know it’s making a difference? Because parents are referring OTHER PARENTS! We are still new so the evidence gathering, but we see it every day. Through the recent award of an innovation grant by the Florida Deparment of Children and Families, we are evaluating the new model. We are restoring hope with every contact, which averages 10 per month per parent. As the saying goes, hope floats! What parents have now is this dismal statistic: less than 50% of children removed from their parents are reunified within 12 months as state and federal laws requires. Every bit helps us continue to move our new case management model move forward! Please INVEST in the future of families by INVESTING in us! ©️🩷

There is no pamphlet for parenting, but we do know what it takes to create a comprehensive primary prevention ecosystem that keeps children and families safe, healthy, and thriving. PCA America's signature program, Healthy Families America (HFA), has 30 years of demonstrated positive outcomes with home visiting, sometimes partnering with families that span generations. And yet, when you combine all of the organizations across the country providing this necessary service to communities, only 5% percent of eligible high priority families received home visiting services in 2022. Make a gift today in support of critical support for families, like HFA: https://lnkd.in/gX7wzH2r #PreventionIsPossible #HealthyFamiliesAmerica #HomeVisitingProgram #SupportingFamilies #DonateToday

We want to highlight a recent report from the Disabled Children's Partnership, ‘This is my Life’ presenting the views of disabled young people and what their access to support is like. 90% of young people are reporting that their parents are not getting the right amount of support from the social care system, and despite an increased policy focus in recent years, the situation for disabled children and their families day-to-day, is getting worse due to reduction in government spending and local authority budgets. See the full report by clicking the link in the first comment, below. 👇 Tree of Hope is one of the 120 coalition organisations that support the campaigning for improved health and social care for children, young people, and their families. We help children and their families raise the money they need to fund their children’s healthcare needs, and we are excited to be working on our next three years strategy to keep on building our services, so we are here for more families who need us. If your family needs our help, we help families fundraise for their children up until the age of 18 but funds can be spent until they turn 25, helping with that transition period from childhood. #ThisIsMyLife #DCP #Campaign #Report #HealthandSocialCare #TreeOfHope

North Carolina loses billions in economic activity each year due to the lack of affordable, quality child care. Between July and September alone, 69 child care programs closed, with many others reducing classrooms and hours. Child care is in crisis, and as result, so is North Carolina's economy. This impacts quality of life for everyone - for you and your family. It’s time to invest in child care solutions! North Carolina Early Education Coalition - Young children and families depend on us to be their champion. Our work depends on you. 🥀Children have a remarkable capacity to help others, and their actions play a significant role in promoting kindness and compassion within society. Through acts of generosity, empathy, and friendship, children contribute to building a more compassionate world. Whether it's sharing toys with a classmate, comforting a friend who's sad, or participating in community service projects, these actions not only demonstrate their innate sense of humanity but also inspire those around them to follow suit. By engaging in these small yet meaningful gestures, children not only help those in need but also cultivate values that will shape their character and interactions as they grow. 🥀The impact of children's actions extends beyond immediate assistance, as their acts of kindness can ripple through communities and create a positive chain reaction. When children see others helping, they're more likely to be motivated to do the same, fostering a culture of caring and empathy. Additionally, their involvement in charitable activities helps them develop a sense of responsibility, awareness of societal issues, and a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of people around them. As they grow into adults, these experiences can lead to a lifelong commitment to making a difference and contributing to the betterment of humanity. In essence, children's efforts to help others not only directly benefit those they assist but also contribute to shaping a more compassionate and interconnected world for everyone. #HumanityMatters #SpreadKindness #BeTheChange #CompassionInAction #EmpathyMatters #TogetherForGood #MakeADifference #LoveAndServe #CaringCommunities #InspireHumanity #helpinghands #helpingothers

Dear Foks, Today, June 12, 2024, marks the 25th anniversary of the #Child_Labour_Convention (1999). This year's #World_Day_Against_Child_Labour focuses on the theme "Let's act on our commitments: End Child Labour!" It's a crucial reminder of the ongoing struggle to eradicate child labor worldwide. As we commemorate this milestone, I urge all my connections to join me in taking action to combat this pressing social issue. Here are two ways we can make a difference: A. Individual Actions: 1. Raise Awareness: Share articles, videos, and personal stories about child labor to spread awareness and spark conversations. 2. Support Organizations: Donate to reputable organizations working to combat child labor and support their initiatives. 3. Make Informed Choices: When shopping, choose products made with fair labor practices and avoid those that may contribute to child labor. B. Community Actions: 1. Organize Events: Host or participate in local events, such as charity runs, bake sales, or fundraisers, to raise funds for child labor initiatives. 2. Volunteer: Offer your time and skills to organizations working to end child labor. 3. Advocate: Contact your local government representatives and express your support for #policies and initiatives aimed at eradicating child labor. Let's come together to make a difference and ensure that every child has the right to a #safe, #healthy, and #education_rich_childhood. Let's act on our commitments and end child labor!

According to a situational report on Charitable Children Institutions (CCIs), disability has been identified as a significant factor contributing to the admission of children into these facilities. Among the challenges observed, the reintegration of children with disabilities, particularly those with albinism, remains a complex issue due to several contributing factors. These include societal discrimination, stigma, and ostracization; limited access to inclusive education and healthcare services; the risk or fear of ritual attacks; and the tendency of families to relinquish caregiving responsibilities, viewing them as a burden. VICTORY CHILD EMPOWERMENT is actively addressing these challenges by creating awareness to transform community attitudes towards the care of children with albinism. The organization engages stakeholders in meaningful conversations to promote progressive social protection support, strengthens child protection systems, and fosters peer-to-peer learning initiatives within Kisii County. These efforts aim to build a supportive and inclusive environment for children with albinism, ensuring their well-being and acceptance within society.
