In November last month we were invited as part of a Belgian Royal Economic mission to São Paulo, Brazil presided over by HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium, Representative of His Majesty the King. Our founding partner Eric Claeys was asked to give a personal presentation to HRH Princess Astrid about real sustainability in buildings. With the focus on how critical a role the performance of a facade plays in "keeping the sun out", a fundamental focus we covered when starting to develop our hybrid curtain-wall facade systems. As part of the hub.brussels seminar Eric was asked to speak on a specialist panel to discuss "Sustainable Construction & Energy Infrastructure". You can find further info relating to our 'Smart Solutions' including Solar Shading on our website here: https://lnkd.in/dDKm-hTr and Fassada's commitment to real sustainability here also: https://lnkd.in/dVjHh_8s With our Fassada Systems hybrid facade technologies we are introducing a new era in facade construction. If you would like to learn more on how they enable a hybrid on-site installation always from the inside of the building, at any height, then please contact one of the team. #ISOMATPROJECTS 🌱On the occasion of World Population Day, which highlights the pressing challenges of urbanization and the need to find more sustainable ways of living, we cannot but reflect on the contribution of #ISOMAT's complete solutions to bringing to life OXYGEN, the first BREEAM-certified residential complex in Greece! In this pioneering project, ISOMAT's integrated ✅Waterproofing and ✅Resin Flooring systems were selected, thereby contributing to a healthy living environment and the reduction of the building's carbon footprint. 💫 Drawing inspiration from the elements of nature, OXYGEN stands now as a point of reference for sustainable architecture and a project that celebrates sustainability, designed by Pieris.Architects, who introduced for the first time "eco-emotional intelligence" in buildings, aiming to improve the health and well-being of the occupants, while caring for the environment. ISOMAT invests in Green Building by developing solutions that contribute towards obtaining BREEAM certification, which provides a holistic sustainability assessment framework, measuring sustainable value in a series of categories addressing influential factors, including energy efficiency, indoor air quality, product life cycle impacts and thermal comfort, for optimal living conditions and a reduced environmental footprint! #ISOMAT #buildingquality #sustainability #oxygen #breeam

You know that moment when someone promises something and... nothing happens? I chose to be Different. When I say I'll Do something, I Do it. When I say I'm there, I'm there. When I say I'll handle it, I handle it. Not because it's written in some manual. But because this is who I am. And yes, sometimes I make mistakes. When I Do, I face them Directly and we find solutions. No empty promises. Just mutual respect and concrete results. Join me at nZEB Expo 2025, where we transform sustainable construction promises into reality. #AuthenticLeadership #SustainableConstruction #nZEBExpo #ZeroCarbonBuildings #ProfessionalGrowth DoDi

Did you know that if you demolish an existing building and replace it with a Green building, it still takes 8 years for the new building to recoup the carbon emissions from the demolition and reconstruction?
Swan & Maclaren Group is one of the session sponsor for International Built Environmental Week (IBEW). Our Director, AR Kwan Yeong Kang, will share his insights on Adaptive Reuse - a crucial strategy for transforming existing buildings into new, sustainable spaces. In Singapore, preserving our architectural heritage is essential, but reducing the carbon impact of the built environment requires more innovative solutions. Adaptive Reuse is more than preservation; it's a catalyst for transformation. By breathing new life into historic buildings, we not only safeguard our heritage but also reduce our carbon footprint and create iconic spaces that enhance our city's identity. Join our session at #IBEW2024 to explore how Adaptive Reuse can drive a more sustainable built environment.
