Facade installation on 270 Park Ave. NY’s tallest tower under construction. 100% hydroelectric powered.💚 270 Park Avenue is from developer Tishman Speyer and has been designed by Foster + Partners. The glass and dark outer cladding has now reached the fourth tier of floor plates. The fifth and final tier will soon begin. On completion the 1,388ft and 60-story supertall is set to be the new global headquarters of JP Morgan Chase bank. The tower will yield 2.5 million sq ft of office space for 15,000 employees. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor. Completion is due in H2 of next year. Images credit: Michael Young.
That’s very impressive. I’m heading down there next week to do some rock breaking in the Bronx. I’ll have to drive by and take a look. www.rockbusters.com

I assume the 100% hydroelectric claim is because the building buys an equivalent amount of electricity from a hydroelectric generator? In reality the electricity will just come from the local grid (which includes natural gas).
The city is growing!
It’s awesome. If this huge building curtain wall decorated by U channel PV glass , I believe it will generate lots of power and more beautiful.☺️
lol id like to know who was the lead design on this project for the building not the architecture or structural engineering. this looks like one of my buildings..
We at Banker Steel Company & NYCC are proud to be part of this Iconic massive structure as a Structural Steel Fabricator and Erector.
