📆 Last week, our Korea Floating Wind project actively took part in the key event "2024 Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Forum"!  The event was a great success, attended by more than 500 people and organized by the Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Association, of which Korea Floating Wind is a member together with the other 4 floating projects in Ulsan, and the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ulsan Technology Park, and sponsored by the Ulsan Metropolitan City.   ➡ So, what was the objective of the event? To explore the administrative and technological advances of floating offshore wind energy, as well as to promote industrial growth and job creation through the development of this energy, which will be a key boost to the local economy. 🏗 The event was attended by key representatives, including senior officials from the National Assembly, MoTIE, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and various fishermen's organisations. The opening speech was given by the President of the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lee Yoon-cheol, followed by a congratulatory speech by Mayor Kim Doo-gyem. Also, in attendance was the Spanish Ambassador to Korea, who highlighted Spain's commitment to Korea's energy transition, in which the Ulsan floating projects will play a key role. The event continued with a forum in which the developers presented their projects, and in which Austin Park, project director of Korea Floating Wind, presented the good collaboration between the 5 Ulsan developers, the authorities and stakeholders, which has led to significant progress in the project’s permitting, interconnection and environmental impact assessment in the last months. Korea Floating Wind is our 1.2 GW floating offshore wind project in Korea, in partnership with Mainstream Renewable Power, which is expected to power more than 1,3 million houses in Ulsan. 🏘 Thank you to the organizers and attendees for an outstanding event! Together, we are driving the future of offshore wind in Korea! 🌬 #ProudtobeOW #renewableenergy #offshorewind
