Breaking Barriers in Aerospace: NASA and the Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to level the playing field for minority businesses in the aerospace industry. The three-year MOU emphasizes connecting minority businesses to NASA acquisition and development opportunities, showcasing the Biden-Harris Administration's commitment to economic investments in the sector. Ensuring we communicate effectively on how to find opportunities allows everyone to experience the strategic and economic advantages of exploring space. Under the agreement, NASA and MBDA will collaborate to spotlight experts supporting initiatives for minority businesses seeking NASA opportunities. MBDA will leverage its network to promote these opportunities, fostering federal partnerships for underserved companies. This partnership aims to address barriers and policy gaps to minority-owned business participation in aerospace. Let's break barriers and reach new frontiers together! https://lnkd.in/g_tbYBEF
A good announcement. It will be interesting to see how this is implemented by a NASA that increasingly seeks to be primarily a commercial space service consumer and as those companies increasingly seek vertical integration.
No NASA Office of Tribal Affairs. No 53rd National Native American Space Grant. No agreement to follow the federal-tribal trust relationship for the 576 federally recognized tribal governments. As I have mentioned, international collaboration starts in our own backyard! Inclusion matters. Dan
Jenn Gustetic interesting! Looking forward to seeing if we can support this.
Deschzunell Catlin, MGM Harsha Malshe This is great news! Would love to see how the Equity Space Alliance can provide support around this.
Congratulations! Can’t wait to see this initiative bear the fruit I expect it will.
What barriers? It's 2024, not 1964.
Pam’s so awesome!
