Ivana Miseva, part of the rescue team at Pawpers in the Ruff in Macedonia, recently shared a video that gives us a glimpse into their world. It's a world where they conduct many of their rescues - the notorious dump. As you watch the video, try to imagine the heart-wrenching scenes they encounter daily: dozens of dogs, some starving, others in dire conditions, and many who've never known the touch of a caring hand. The Pawpers in the Ruff team face difficult decisions daily, all while striving to care for as many dogs as possible with limited resources. Their passion for these animals fuels their determination to save lives, even while juggling permanent jobs and family responsibilities. With over 150 dogs in their care, rescued from dire conditions, their dedication knows no bounds. Their selfless dedication often comes with significant challenges and sacrifices. We must ensure that incredible women like Ivana receive the acknowledgment, respect, and resources they need to continue their life-saving work. Their dedication often comes with significant challenges and sacrifices, and it's our responsibility to support them. We invite you to spare just two minutes of your time to listen to Ivana's powerful message in the video she shared. If you can donate: https://shor.by/PqEg Every penny raised will go directly to Pawpers in the Ruff to support their rescue efforts. #PowerOfOne #AdoptDontShop #AnimalRescue #AnimalWelfare #StreetDogs #Dogrescue #PawpersInTheRuff #RescueHeroes #SupportDogRescue #DonateToday #AnimalRights #MentalHealthMatters

To accomplish his mission, Cristian plans to film in all 50 states for a minimum of 45 days to create a one-hour film for each state. We are hoping to secure ongoing sponsorship for the 50-state project.
Filming cats & dogs seeking help to get off the streets is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, it raises awareness about the plight of stray cats, highlighting their need for assistance and safe shelter. Secondly, these videos can attract the attention of animal rescue organizations and potential adopters, increasing the chances of these pets finding permanent homes. Additionally, sharing such footage on social media can generate community support and resources for rescue efforts, creating a network of compassionate individuals ready to help. Ultimately, documenting these cats & dogs struggles can drive meaningful action, ensuring they receive the care and protection they deserve. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation. I Film Heroes is exempt under Section 501(c) (3) of the IRS (EIN: #82-4657154). On this #FundraisingFriday, here is an example of the tricky issues that surround donor due diligence and accepting/refusing donations. There can be a difficult balance between managing reputational and other risks, and maximising income for your charity. With these types of issues, you’re often unlikely to find a solution that pleases everyone! From a charity law and trustee duty perspective, because this is a complex area it's really beneficial to have processes and policies in place to guide your teams through the issues and make sure you can demonstrate appropriate decision-making. https://lnkd.in/gXVygcGh

New Month, New Mission! This month, we're proud to support Rescue Inc. a dedicated team committed to providing second chances for dogs in need. This photo features the incredible Kate Favata, dedicated Rescue Inc. Volunteer catching Bounty Paper Towel packs! Why the focus on paper towels, you ask? Well, Rescue Inc., is all about conserving wherever we can, however, paper towels are an essential item for day-to-day operations. We go through paper towels in bulk, and we ALWAYS need Proctor and Gamble's Bounty paper towels! Want to help? Visit Rescue Inc.'s Amazon wishlist and send a much-needed item directly to the rescue! Your support makes a world of difference. Here's the link: https://lnkd.in/eWdvFqRJ A little more about Rescue Inc: Established in late 2019, Rescue Inc. brings decades of combined rescue, corporate, and dog behavior experience to their mission. They not only assist local dogs but also provide homes for displaced and abandoned dogs from the rural south, giving them a chance at life they wouldn't have otherwise. Partnering with organizations in Mississippi, Alabama, and Massachusetts, Rescue Inc. works tirelessly to improve the well-being of at-risk canine populations. As a licensed 501(c)(3) organization, they rely on your tax-deductible donations to continue their vital rescue efforts. Every dollar you donate goes toward providing options for animals when there are none. This is who we adopted our dog from over a year ago. They are wonderful people and need help rebuilding their shelter. Please read below. Urgent Support Needed After Shelter Fire – All Humans and Animals Safe! On November 4th, one of our worst fears was realized. An electrical fire caused by a short in our Oncor meter broke out in our kennel. Thanks to the quick actions of our staff and Seogoville Fire Department, we are relieved to be able to report all humans and animals are safe. That said, our shelter has suffered devastating damage that has left us in dire need of your support. Oncor will replace the meter however OHAR will be responsible for repairing wiring, copper, drywall, replacing the damaged equipment and food, and more. The Fire Marshall has “red-tagged” our kennels resulting in the temporary suspension of power and water until city inspectors greenlight the repairs. This process is expected to take several days and additional costs will be incurred as extra resources are needed to care for the animals during this time. At present, the identified repair expenses for just the electricians stand at $10,000 and will increase. It’s safe to say that this unexpected cost has caught us unprepared, and we are in urgent need of assistance. Your generous donations can make a significant difference in our ability to recover and provide for the animals that rely on us. Can you help? Here’s how: Financial Contributions. Your monetary donation, no matter how big or small, will go a long way in helping us restore our shelter and continue to provide a safe and loving environment for our animal residents. You can donate securely: On our website at ohar.org/donations. Your information is never shared or compromised as we are 100% PCI Compliant and encryption is guaranteed. PayPal at info@ohar.org For those who’d rather mail donations, our mailing address is Post Office Box 367 – Seagoville, TX 75159. Share Our Story: Spread the word about our situation on social media, among your friends, family, and colleagues. The more people are aware of our plight, the more help we can garner. Become a Temporary Foster: As traumatic as the fire has been for our animals, the noise and chaos of the repairs that need to occur will no doubt cause them additional stress. Bringing one of our animals into your home on a temporary basis while we recover from the fire would mean the world to that animal and help them overcome the trauma. Please know, any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Your kindness and support during this difficult time mean the world to us and to the animals who rely on our care. We thank you for your compassion and generosity. Together, we can rise from the ashes and continue to provide a safe haven for the animals. Warm regards, Bettye & Jim

Charities always appreciate when Will-makers leave a gift in their Will to them. However, the only way a charity can receive anything from a Will-maker’s Estate is if they clearly identify/name the charity in their Will. If the deceased dies without a Will, under the rules of intestacy, a charity cannot receive a cent from the deceased’s Estate. In simple terms, no Will, no gift to charity from your Estate. https://lnkd.in/gFxmWCk3

Hats off to The Showcase of Fundraising Innovation & Inspiration (SOFII) and Battersea for this clever, uplifting and #mission focused TV ad for leaving a #gift in your will. Since the ad started running in 2020, they've received over 1,000 requests for legacy info and legacy income is over $18 million in the past 8 eight. Here are 4 key takeaways: (1) The ad is focused on LIFE, not dying or end of life. (2) Rescue animals are portrayed as loving sassy companions, not victims. (3) Research found Battersea #donors aligned themselves to rescue animals, as underdogs and survivors looking for a place to belong. (4) The music is toe-tapping, irresistibly fun and upbeat. https://lnkd.in/e-GqsXww #legacygiving #nonprofis #philanthropy #fundraising
