#NatureBasedSolutions (NbS) are key for sustainable landscapes, but there are still many knowledge gaps hindering their wider implementation. These gaps include research limitations, data deficiencies, and challenges in accessing and implementing existing knowledge. Biodiversa+ has led the development of NetworkNature’s NbS knowledge gaps database. This searchable resource informs future research and innovation efforts, supporting policy and practitioners’ needs. It has been compiled on the basis of desk studies and online consultations. And it’s time to update it, so we’re launching a new consultation! Contribute your insights and/or share the survey with experts you know! It's a great opportunity to bring NbS knowledge gaps to the attention of major EU R&I programmers, and further shape the #EUResearch roadmap on the matter! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This past Friday we gathered in Leuven to kick-off the "Urban Greening and Re-naturing" Thematic Cluster. 🌍 Exciting News! 🏛️ Preserving Legacies, led by National Geographic Society Explorer Victoria Herrmann, is expanding its mission to safeguard natural and cultural heritage against climate change impacts. Welcoming 11 new heritage sites and custodians from around the globe, this initiative aims to protect our shared legacy for future generations. These new heritage sites, spanning 6 continents, will participate in an interactive training and adaptation program to understand, visualize, and mitigate climate change impacts on their cultural treasures. From the Kherlen River Basin in Mongolia to the Rock of Cashel in Ireland, diverse sites are uniting to combat climate threats. Partnering with organizations like the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and the Climate Heritage Network, Preserving Legacies is empowering communities to take proactive measures in preserving their heritage.
