As Pride Month draws to a close, let’s reflect on Peppermint's powerful reminder: "Diversity and inclusion can't be transactional and superficial." Much like the fight for gender equality, it’s not limited to just one month of the year. Peppermint emphasizes the importance of genuinely understanding the needs and desires of the entire community. Every demographic includes individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, and it’s crucial to hold ourselves and others accountable in fostering true inclusivity. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eaZJnuYd

This Women’s History Month, we are celebrating alongside our LGBTQ+ community with pride, joy, and so much love 🧡 May this Women’s History Month be an opportunity for us all to pay tribute to the strength, resilience and diversity of ALL women across every spectrum, orientation and background. May it also be a reminder that the fight for women’s rights and gender equality is far from over. While we have seen unprecedented progress made toward Title IX and the right to vote, many across the world — including trans women — continue to face a system of oppression deeply rooted in hatred, misogyny, and transphobia. As the fight for gender justice enters a new chapter, one with a commitment to intersectionality and inclusivity, let’s show up together to speak out on inequality and celebrate the incredible impact that so many women changemakers, glass-ceiling breakers, and boundary pushers have had on LGBTQ+ history and community.

Today is International Women's Day of Women's History Month where we honor how LGBTQ women are driving innovation and investment. Research has proven that when women are actively involved in financial decisions that impact them and their future, everyone benefits. In fact, almost 90% of women believe that money can be a tool to help them fulfill their life's purpose. This Women's History Month, and every month, we strive to empower LGBTQ+ women on their path to greater purpose and support them in reaching their goals. LGBT+ VC is dedicated to helping achieve greater financial and gender equality. #InternationalWomensDay #WomensHistoryMonth #Innovation #Investment #Empowerment #GenderEquality #FinancialEquality

Check out this resource on the powerhouse women who have made history but rarely get featured in Women's History Month content. Feel free to download the doc and share however you'd like! #womenshistorymonth
Women's History Month often overlooks the stories of LGBTQ+ women (especially trans women), BIPOC women, and disabled women. To address this gap, we've compiled a document highlighting the achievements of just a few of these women throughout history. We encourage you to take a moment to read and share the attached document, helping to amplify the voices of those whose stories are too often left untold. As we honor the progress made, let's also acknowledge the work that still needs to be done to achieve true gender equity. Together, let's continue to advocate for a more inclusive and equitable world for all. #womenshistorymonth

The recent Gender Equality Symposium showcased an impressive lineup of esteemed speakers dedicated to discussions on equality. While designing the symposium, We visualized that speakers share ideas for meaningful change, not sticking to one gender and reinforcing that equality is not just a goal but a journey that requires collaboration across all communities. We are glad that this thought resonated deeply with the speakers, highlighting the importance of unity in pursuing social justice. One standout session featured Aditi Maheshwari, Tara Shanker, and Vineeta Asthana, who emphasized the need for a holistic understanding of equality. In her address, Goyal articulated an important point: achieving true gender equality requires the inclusion of all segments of society, including men, women, and the LGBTQ+ community. She stressed that equality should encompass everyone. While gender-based crimes against women should be stopped, the same should apply to men and the LGBTQ+ community as well. As discussions continue, the commitment to inclusivity remains a cornerstone of the movement for gender equality. Although not having enough time to discuss #childrights is my regret there is always next time. Only through collective efforts can we foster an environment where everyone thrives.

What can be done protect women's and LGBTQ+ rights? The latest World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Report shows that labour-force participation is improving, rising to 65.7% from a pandemic rate of 62.3%. Women's workforce representation remains below men's in almost every industry and economy, with women accounting for 42% of the global workforce, but only 31.7% of senior leaders. PATHS2INCLUDE is focusing on two important aspects regarding the position of women in the labour market: ➡ Understanding the extent to which gender norms shape not only the likelihood that women (mostly mothers) participate in the labour market, but the characteristics of their employment. ➡Examining whether the increased flexibility in the labour market brought by the COVID-19 pandemic has facilitated the establishment of women in the labour market. The World Economic Forum confirms that at the current pace of progress, it will take 134 years to close the global gender gap 😯 Yes, you read that right. 📈 Compared to 2023, the #GenderGap24 has closed by just +0.1%, now standing at 68.6% (with 100% representing full parity). The report also shows that no country has achieved full gender parity. While Europe leads the regional rankings, having closed 75% of its gap, the distance between the top and bottom ranks indicates wide disparities. ❗ Let’s not forget: Women with intersecting identities — such as LGBTQ+ and migrant women — face unique challenges. That's why we support grassroots organisations, who understand and address specific community needs. We are leaving no one behind 🫱🏻🫲🏿🌈 Waiting five generations for equality is not an option. Collective action, powered by more and better funding, is more crucial than ever. 📊 Find out more about the key trends: https://lnkd.in/eFxXpuwE.
