This decision is informed by observations and Portable X-ray Fluorescence (PXRF) readings indicating hydrothermal alteration and sulfides associated with veins in the core. Importantly, the intersection of shallow slightly saline aquifers supports the fact that there is no connectivity between aquifers and the sealed Pennsylvanian brines 7,000 feet deeper. This drilling represents the first phase in Anson’s mineral resource definition plan at Green River, where the company is targeting lithium-rich brines in the highly porous clastic horizons and the Mississippian units in the region. Upon completion of the well, it is expected that brine will be able to flow directly to the sample demonstration plant, which consists of both the direct lithium extraction and the downstream purification process. Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ) has found multiple zones of high-grade ionic clay #RareEarthElements (REEs) at its Salmon Gums Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, including the highest grade REE result in the area to date. The Salmon Gums Project consists of three exploration licences covering a total area of 360 square kilometres, some 200 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie. This area is fertile terrain not only for REE prospectivity but also offers potential for gold and lithium. Drilling at the southeast Arizona property has indicated the potential presence of commercially important metals associated with porphyry copper-gold-moly geologic structures, according to the Tuscon-based company. At a depth exceeding 2000 feet, the company encountered a marble front along with an intense zone of propylitic alteration, both suggesting the existence of a substantial, hydrous intrusive body at depth. According to consulting geologist Jim Bryce, this alteration represents some of the most profound seen in over three decades of experience in the field, the company noted in a statement. LIBERTY STAR URANIUM & METAL (OTC:LBSR), dba Liberty Star Minerals, is gearing up for diamond core drilling at its gold and copper prospects in southeast Arizona. The company has partnered with NISS Drilling Services for the gold exploration program around Red Rock Canyon. Drilling will also extend to HMP Target 1 near the Red Rock Canyon prospect, the company said in a statement. The plan involves drilling about 250 feet per hole at Red Rock Canyon, focusing on historic drill sites previously explored for gold. Additionally, deeper drilling is scheduled for a promising area within the adjacent Hay Mountain Target 1 region.
