The prolonged and arduous journey that chronic Lyme patients face can take a heavy emotional toll on healthcare practitioners too. Witnessing immense suffering day after day while pushing to find answers is mentally and emotionally draining. It's easy for burnout to set in if you don't have the right support. This is where the irreplaceable value of a caring mentorship community comes in. More than just sharing clinical knowledge, mentors provide strategies to build emotional resilience. They offer a listening ear and wise counsel on navigating patient care with sustained compassion and empathy without running yourself into the ground. Through their guidance, you learn to protect your own well-being. Battling chronic Lyme can be a lonely road for both patients and doctors. However, having a caring mentor community provides the emotional lifeline everyone needs to persevere. Can you relate to needing this kind of emotional support system? Let's start that conversation in the comments. #ChronicLymeDiseaseAwareness #HealthcareBurnout #EmotionalResilience

A trauma-informed approach to care acknowledges that health care organizations and care teams need to have a complete picture of a patient’s life situation — past and present — in order to provide effective health care services with a healing orientation. Adopting trauma-informed practices can potentially improve patient engagement, treatment adherence, and health outcomes, as well as provider and staff wellness. In this episode I highlight the meaning, benefits and core principles of trauma informed care on the mat and beyond. Please let me know your questions and feedback in the comments!

Founder and CEO at Cass | Mental Health Advocate | Digital Transformation through AI | Keynote Speaker
The industry has rethought the way we deliver mental health support. Those rethinking the journey to get there are shaping the landscape for the future. Prior to launching Cass, I was peering through the lens of a patient, attempting to navigate our overly complex healthcare system. My experience created a desire to help others walking the same path, so I became a Peer Support Counselor. Through efforts to assist my peers, I noticed that most face too many barriers with too few resources to make it through the therapy journey. With the help of our telehealth partners, Cass is working to close those gaps for our communities’ most vulnerable populations by: -Providing a simple way to complete forms and screenings. -Boosting the contact rate for new patient enrollment coordinators. -Streamlining scheduling and registration. -24/7 support to patients leading up to treatment. -Connecting patients to valuable support services. What other gaps do you see leading to patient drop-off? What stage of the funnel is being impacted the most?

Do you work with parent-infant dyads? I am often met with some uncertainty about how to video dyads and weave it into practice. Not only is video feedback helpful for the families we work with but it is also helpful for our ongoing professional development, honing our observational skills and finessing the way we transfer information to dyads in a clear, simple and practical way. To find out more about how video feedback can enhance your clinical practice in infant mental health, read this post: https://lnkd.in/g3HUYt5k #martemeo #infantmentalhealth #perinatalmentalhealth
