🌟 Exciting Announcement: Joining UNDP for a Transformative Project I am thrilled that I will embark on a 10-week project with the United Nations. This opportunity to contribute to global sustainable development is a professional milestone and a personal dream come true. The project is dedicated to helping countries align private sector operations and investments with the 2030 Agenda. The goal is ambitious yet vital: influencing investors and businesses of all sizes to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their business models, decision-making processes, and everyday practices. A crucial part of our strategy involves supporting governments in establishing enabling policy and regulatory environments. We aim to foster multi-stakeholder partnerships that can drive meaningful change and accelerate progress towards the SDGs. I am eager to collaborate with an incredible UNDP team of experts and innovators. As Pierre Rabhi said, « A way of not feeling powerless in the face of tomorrow. Twenty-first-century challenges require 21st-century solutions. Innovation presents an opportunity to accelerate action towards achieving the SDGs by enabling new ways of working, generating new and more real-time data, learning from and scaling grassroots solutions, and establishing diverse partnerships.   To accelerate action, UNDP Accelerator Labs is evolving to become a global south-driven research and development capability for the SDGs. We see a clear role to play by contributing to filling data gaps, making sense of emerging roadblocks to achieving the SDGs, and finding innovations that tackle multiple Goals and produce multiple gains. One of the most important early building blocks is enabling a culture that tolerates, or even embraces, uncertainty. This often has to be signalled from the top, as I talk about in the clip below. Today I talked to global audience about the systems thinking, portfolio approach and circular economy as part of UNDP's Portfolios in Practice Series. It was interesting to se how different countries with different contexts and environments face similar challenges when implementing systemic development approaches. Mybe we can use it to learn quicker and scale up better, which is at the center of portfolio approach anyhow. #circulareconomy #systemsthinking #innovation #undp
